Discussion: GOP Senator Who Unendorsed Trump 3 Days Ago Jumps Back On The Train

A politician through and through. Must have seen her poll numbers drop when endorsing, but not as much as when she unendorsed.

When you’ve got them by the pussy, their hearts and minds will follow.

Trump claims yet another Dignity Wraith scalp for his wall.

Always remember for the GOP, its Party before Country.

That’s a joke, right?

Yet the Christian publicity hounds, Ralph Reed, Jerry Falwell, Jr, Franklin Graham, James Dobson, Tony Perkins, Pat Robertson still endorse him.
They are the ones who are deplorable as well.

Democrats follow the likes of Bernie further and further into Socialist territory

If by “Socialist” you mean state ownership of the means of production, that ain’t happening. If by “Socialist” you mean vigorous support of Social Security, some form of national health insurance, environmental regulations, protection of labor rights, reproductive choice, and sensible financial regulation, Democrats are already there and have been for quite a while.

She’s shown herself to be who she really is. I can see the ads against her now…

I would assume that one of the reasons that Clinton is beating Trump with women is that we know how a mean girl operates. Trump has all the signs of being the Queen Bitch of Mean. She’ll compliment you one day, then shred you the next. She stirs the shit up because she can.

I guess the term is “morally challenged.”

She’ll lose and it will be a deserved loss. Total moral cowardice!

My seventh grade wrestling coach told us that if you ever saw your opponent with their legs crossed, it was time to move in and take them down. The GOP is off balance and it is time for them to fall.

Not really. Remember the Democratic Leadership Council. That was the absolute manifestation of Democratic cowardice. Its members sought to be viewed as Republican lite. Some would argue the DLC gave us NAFTA.

It’s sad and pathetic, the way everyone in DT’s path loses their dignity.

Well, now that Trump’s been reported by multiple contestants (some as young as 15 at the time) to have just casually sauntered thru the dressing area of the Miss Teen USA pageant he ran, perhaps she’ll change her mind yet again.

For a day or two, anyhow.

There’s a big difference between disagreeing on policy issues and happily supporting someone who brags about sexually assaulting women just because she’s in the same party as he is.

That’s the sentiment of the author of the linked article. He is calling them out as hypocrites… as are their followers that support trump. That is the revolution worth covering… when will evangelicals ( the ones that are in the basket) become Christ like again.

Come you say, flip-flop?

Since being such a spineless fool makes you look deplorable!

The real question for those Republican leaders and Republicans in general (Trump is clearly not one) is how do they help the rest of us put the evil genie of mob violence back in the bottle that Trump opened, given many of them helped open the bottle in the first place. If Trump incites violence in his rallies over the next three weeks and then refuses to accept defeat by claiming the election was rigged against him, what then? At what point is he crying fire in a closed theater and becomes subject to arrest? I hope before the fire is ignited.

Ryan and McConnell and the rest should be standing now up to speak against any threats of violence however subtle from tyrant Donald. Trump did this before the Republican convention and mostly got away with it. He seems certain to do this again. It is bad enough that Trump is encouraging crazed individuals to commit violent acts. Mob violence on a large scale will rip this country apart.

We cannot forgive those Republican leaders, evangelicals, and talk radio hosts who have brought us anywhere near this point in our history. They cannot expunge their complicity, but have they truly forsaken all sense and decency? This clearly is a come to Jesus moment for them if there ever was.

You are absolutely correct. The DLC was a bunch of Democrats who had been beaten down by Reagan and other Republicans on policy, but this is a very, very different form of cowardice. Fisher deserves to loss. Party uber allis is a very ugly way to live. With the threats to jail Hillary and the woman calling for revolution if Hillary wins, Republican office holders need to decide if they are Americans first or Republicans first. My guess is a lot of them would say they are Republicans.
