Jeff Flake always seems reasonable until he doesn’t. He’s charming and funny but has rarely bucked his party’s lockstep approach to obstructionism.
Pro-gun, anti-choice, anti-environment:

Hey Donald, remember when you said you’d bring back waterboarding (and worse)?
Drip, drip, drip …
Quietly waiting for A. J. Delgado to say, again, with her smug right wing Harvard Grad face, that this is all a Left Wing Democrat Loving Media creation. Total PC kowtow.
I know this is off the wall, but whenever I think of that song, I think of this.
If any of the GoP representatives truly love the United States of America, NONE of them would endorse WACKO Donald J Trump in the first place!
I don’t believe any GOP doubt over Trump.
Exactly! Methinks Senator Flake is worried about how he appears to the Latino population of Arizona, which is large and growing. I doubt that he has any real problems with Trump other than that. This is just politics for him.
WaTerboard flake until he endorses TrUmp. His lack oF suPPort for a flag-hugging fellow conserVative is beyond the PaiL!!1!1!!1!!!one!!!1!!!1!1!!!
I hope he’s not holding his breath waiting for a change
Flake said on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” that Trump would have to change some of his views to get his endorsement, including his proposed ban on Muslims.
What did Sarah Palin have to say about that “hope-changey” thing? This time, I agree with her.
Flake also said Trump should have apologized for saying that U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel couldn’t fairly preside over cases against Trump University because of his “Mexican heritage.”
geez, jeff. you should know by now that trump doesn’t do apologies. apologies are for losers.
I respectfully disagree on the most part. I admit I don’t know much about Flake’s past in the House, but in watching him in the Senate, he seems to be more serious and stands up more than any other 'Pug.
I imagine I would not find much I’d agree with him on, but I’m okay with that. With as rotten as the GOTP has gotten, every whiff of reasonableness should be appreciated and nurtured.
In your headline “Withhold” is misspelled.
They don’t read the posts, but generally appreciate an email on things like this.
So, Jeff Flake may endorse Trump if Trump either demonstrates that he has previously lied about his intentions or demonstrates that he can tell more acceptable lies now. Got it. Another effing craven, irresponsible coward who wants to look like he has a spine.
I read on another site that flake wants trumpet to change his “tone”…I thought to myself, tone? Are you kidding.
But this article flake says “that Trump would have to change some of his views to get his endorsement, including his proposed ban on Muslims.”
That’s more like it, if you hold firm. Who would have thought that “go along to get along” flake would actually be braver standing up to trumpet than jony mc.
Even if this is mostly motivated by politics with his Hispanic constituents, I’m still loving them hesitating over endorsing The Tramp.
Though-- the grain-of-salt here is that we’re in an election year.
With (R)s unable to pivot, Etch-A-Sketch, or even dog-whistle-- all thanks to DonnyCon?
Everything spoken seems binary and CYA-based.
I sense we’ll get a clearer glimpse at Sen Flake-- when he’s in the minority come January.
