Discussion: GOP Senator Says He Hopes Other Republicans Withold Endorsing Trump

“So I hope that a number of us at least will withhold endorsement, I’ve not endorsed, until we see,”

See what exactly? What kind of walkback do they expect to get from Donald that can negate all of the repugnant, offensive, and downright fascist things he has consistently said for the last year. I wish one of these limp putzes would come out and say Donald has gone too far, he will never receive my vote or endorsement, because he has proven what he is a hundred times over, and will never change.

Flake Will Cave

Because Hillary. That is quite a nose to cut off to spite his face.

You said pail…

Hey Flake, if that is your real name, Drumpf is 70 years old, even if he does change it’s going to take a lot longer than 5 months…

And how, exactly, would Trump walk back his “business” career, one that consists of almost comical mismanagement, an eagerness to stick other people with the losses he’s generated, and, in a number of cases, outright fraud?

Ryan’s reason for supporting Trump, according to him, was the pressure he was receiving from caucus members whose District’s voters voted for Trump. Now, compare the spineless decision by the House Speaker and the willingness of the Arizona Senator to stand by his Principals. World’s apart, so Good Going Senator Flake.

Wrong state. Arizona.

Thank you, corrected!

Big, hot, sandy places, home to lots of RWNJ’s. It’s tough to keep them sorted out.

I think what we witness is the shake-out process of revealing who has any samblance of a moral compass within the modern GOP. For instance Romney is as conservative as they come, but he is deeply invested in his Mormon faith, and this does not seem to be put on.

Tell ya what Jeff:
I with hold from trump

any endorsement
any admiration
won’t campaign for him
don’t like him as a human being
any respect
and most importantly…my vote
Mmmkay, are we clear?

Jeff Flake is from Snowflake, AZ … not a particularly sandy place.
In fact most of Arizona isn’t sandy. But it is most certainly hot in summertime. The majority of days since June 1st have been well over 100 degrees. Now THAT can fry one’s brain…no sand needed. And having lived in this hot place that Mr Flake represents as our junior Senator for almost 50 years I can attest there are scads of crazy right wingers. Just look under most any over baked rock.

It’s a style thing.

But there are certain things that you can’t do as a candidate. And some of the things he’s done I think are beyond the pale."

What it boils down to for most of these GOP adherents who reject TeaRump is that he is saying aloud what must be dog-whistled. They’ve shown no antipathy to the standard dog-whistling, but when TeaRump says it out loud, all of a sudden they are in high dudgeon.
