Inconvenient…
Nope. You had your chance to do the right thing, the thing that is required by law, and you chose to not do so. When Clinton wins in November President Obama should withdrawal his nominee the next day. Let President Clinton pick her own nominee, as the Republicans requested – personally, I hope she picks Obama (either one). They are going to stick around DC for at least few more years, so its not like they have anything better to do.
As soon as Hillary is elected McConnell will bring the Garland nomination forward. Otherwise he is going to have to stall a more liberal judge for 4 years.
Well, someone is volunteering to get Second Amendmented in the face.
emergency meeting at the RNC being called–Reince sends out text-“Flake saying things that could compromise us again! The Turd is in the punch bowl! I repeat, the turd is in the punch bowl!”
Is Yertle McConnell losing his grip on his team?
Despite the fact that Flake has been given some credit for maintaining his anti-Trump stance, he is still fine with politicizing the Supreme Court opening as evidenced by his quote:
“If we come to a point where we’ve lost the election, and we can get a centrist like Garland in there as opposed to someone like Hillary Clinton might appoint then I’d go for it,” he said.
Like allan said above, “You had the chance to do the right thing, Mr. Flake,”
Why doesn’t he switch parties all ready?
I think the Obamas are looking forward to some time off and would decline the honor.
But the second vacancy … yes!
“If we come to a point where we’ve lost the election, and we can get a centrist like Garland in there as opposed to someone like Hillary Clinton might appoint then I’d go for it,”
So sorry, It seems that the betting window is now closed - your opportunity to place your bet on Garland has passed.
This sounds like the guy who wants to sign the increased insurance policy AFTER the barn has burned down …
Flake has shown some admirable independence, but he’s a bit late to the garden party…
Won’t happen if Republicans hold the Senate.
Can’t tell if you’re seriously thinking neither Obama has anything better to do in the next few years. Michelle’s made it clear she wants out NOW out the presidential bubble, and when the last daughter is out of school, they’re going back to Chicago. Washington is a swamp, it was 200 years ago, and it still is.
So… the GOP is using Flake to start chumming the water for a Garland confirmation in the lame duck. He is convenient for them since he already talked about it.
Him strange gop.
Speak truth!
You could have had a V-8, beyotches.
At first I read that as no Democratic president should to get the SCOTUC pick.
This refusal was a coup. Nothing less.
because he’s a RWNJ. Just not as nutty as the rest.
