“Rubber Stamp”
“rubber”
“scumbag”

A natural progression.

This one is not even a full bag. Just the nozzle.

The Town Hall anger is becoming the norm. Time will tell if it turns into actual votes.

What kind of fcking animal would argue with someone suffering from MS? Aside from the shttiness of it, what does it gain you?

I follow the Ralston Reports on Twitter and according to Jon Ralston, there are currently NO Dems preparing to run against him. The bench is THAT thin, according to him.

I wonder if anyone asked Heller about his Gorsuch vote

Anyhow

There have been only three serious Democratic challenges in that district’s history, so yeaaaa.

Top three Heller excuses:

1). I’m not a rubber-stamp. I’m just carrying his water.

2). Hey, at least I’m not Devin Nunes.
3). I’m paying myself, so it’s all ok.

Oh…and an oldie but goodie…

It’s all Obama’s fault.

In February Heller said he’d hold a town hall if there was no booing. and he knew enough not to make that demand again, but at that time they said Hell No, and booed their frustrated hearts out. He’s probably still mad at them. Constituents, the worst part of being an elected representative.

@inversion @brooklyndweller This from Daily Kos tosses arounds the possible challengers to Heller. None very likely but you never know.

It did in 2006. Remember at the beginning of W’s term - I think at the State of the Union, he proudly declared that he would be the only successful President to “take on Social Security” - and the push for privatization came fast. And then there were town halls like this. And then the wave election of 2006. Even Red Indiana’s congressional delegation (or a minute) became majority Blue.

Part of dubya’s problem with announcing he’d be looking to privatize SS was that he’d never mentioned it during the campaign because then we might have had a President Kerry.

Not credible that Dems will let him run unopposed. Status quo will change, sigh or don’t sigh.

The crowd seemed to catch on when he would switch to coded words like “access” rather than coverage. From time to time he would move to their language of coverage, just to slip back again. The audience is stacked with well informed people who started calling out and challenging him when he starts using GOP slippery language which is often not talking about coverage - but back to the pre ACA days where GOPers would refer to the existence of an emergency room meant “access to health care”.

Support Obamacare and disappoint his super-PAC overlords or support Trumpcare and disappoint his constituents.

Seems to me a guy named Heller should know all about a Catch-22.

I know NV will put someone up against him even if it’s “Some Dude.”

Thanks for that. I hadn’t seen it.

Yeah they are all making that clear. They’ve gotten away with ignoring their constituents who don’t vote for them for a long time and they are making it clear how much they still don’t want to have to give a shit, but they’re also nervous.

You elect a Republican to represent conservative idiology— you elect a Democrat if you want someone to represent you. Why is everyone surprised when their conservative ie Republican, Representative wants to kill Obamacare, kill or cripple Medicare and kill or cripple Social Security? — THAT is what you elected him to do.
