This is the real Dem quandary, the voting patterns of conservative white females. Who vote against their best interest, out of fear and ignorance, as in this case.
The largest voting bloc elected Kennedy in 1960, turned in 1968 and has never looked back. The war on women by the GOP, in many cases is by women or with their blessings. The senate races in GA, AR, NC and KY, the hot bed of the South will show if there are hopeful shifts in the patterns. Liberals gloss over the fact while harping on turnout and minority voters. I guess they gave up on the problem.

Joni, your wig is a tragedy. The UCSB shooter’s actions were a premeditated act. While we as a country have a long way to go to prevent young men from the sort of isolation the shooter fell into, we must recognize the crime itself for what it is.

Funny, that’s not what Republicans were saying after 9/11. Then it was “9/11 changed everything!” and whenever someone complained about violations of the Fourth and Fifth Amendments, they were accused of having a “pre-9/11 mindset.”
So I guess it’s true that the only part of the Constitution Republicans honor is the Second Amendment. And the First Amendment when it suits them.
