little things like tan suits
the actions of these assclowns and their intent to roll back environmental regulations are the true scandal. Ripping off the tax payers is minor compared to the true mission.
“Mr. Pruitt has been doing a good job as the secretary of the EPA. He’s moving forward exactly as this President said he would.”
This is why Pruitt is safe. He’s doing what the extraction industries want.
Little things like full on corruption. Obviously this guy is owned by the petroleum industry. I suspect he knows a lot about the kind of “little things” corruption that makes no talent Washington guys like him rich.
I am so sick of Trump and the K-Street Republicans.
Little things. Our water, the air we breathe, whether the ground we stand on is firm or shaking - yeah little things like that.
And all of the taxpayer money he’s burned through.
fuck you Rounds, you and the GOP you rode in on. You are all corrupt.
But he is becoming both an embarrassment and a spectacle. If we strip out the evil overlord aspect, the man looks like someone who needs professional counseling. He is beginning to make fruit cakes look like just plain cake.
“Until he is caught on video and audio with 50 nuns and the executive committee of the NRA as witnesses, personally dumping toxic chemicals from Russia into the drinking water of the Republican House and Senate caucuses … he’s good. And maybe even then, we give him a mulligan depending on how many actually die. Just so he continues to destroy the environment the agency is supposed to be protecting.”
Reagan and Nixon are both in hell talking about how much they hate this motherfucker.
Another dumbass white man who does NOT deaserve to serve in our House of Representatives, much less his inability to serve The People! Kick his dumb numb ass OUT!
Regulating the ennvironment for our protection requires staff, not security for a paranoid Secretary who is governing to special interests.
Rationalizing and defending corruption. The GOP way.
But Da plane! Da plane! and those people who would speak poorly to his lord ship.
I bet his security folks wish for a day they might sneak up and pop a paper bag behind him just for the grins.
Blowing through tax payer money on vacations to Disneyland, the Rose Bowl, first class airline tickets to everywhere, the trip to Morocco acting as a personal lobbyist for a natural gas baron , it is all good. With his logic any sort of corruption is A-OK, as long as it advances the President’s agenda.
Life imitates the late, great, perennial Presidential candidate Pat Paulsen:
“Picky, picky, picky.”
HFS!! HFS!! The corruption is unbelievable!!
Lining your pockets on the taxpayer’s dime? Little things.
If you’re a Lie and Cheat Republican, that is.
If they believe that killing off agencies, departments and regulations is a money saver, including increasing profit for the affected industries, then it becomes a money game. His expenses would be simply that for much greater returns. They represent his “method”.
I do get a serious sense of typical CEO bullshit thinking. They only pay lip service to the complaints, they are on a mission for the preferred shareholders. Consequences to anyone else be damned.
I’ll take a side of graft to go with my grift and corruption.
There’s also the story of his aide who was paid for three months of employment from November to January and not once showed up for work. She quit when that came out.
But the glimmer of good news about what he’s trying to do is this. It may seem in the short run he’s having success destroying environmental regulations but in the long run they won’t be sustainable. He’ll be facing lawsuits for the rest of his tenure and so will his successor.
“In their rush to get things done, they’re failing to dot their i’s and cross their t’s. And they’re starting to stumble over a lot of trip wires,” said Richard Lazarus, a professor of environmental law at Harvard. “They’re producing a lot of short, poorly crafted rulemakings that are not likely to hold up in court.”
Six of Mr. Pruitt’s efforts to delay or roll back Obama-era regulations — on issues including pesticides, lead paint and renewable-fuel requirements — have been struck down by the courts. Mr. Pruitt also backed down on a proposal to delay implementing smog regulations and another to withdraw a regulation on mercury pollution.
