Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) said Thursday that if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) put her personal feelings toward President Trump aside, itād be a lot easier to strike a deal to end the weeks-long government shutdown.

I love that Trump says he didnāt smack the table or anything and didnāt have a tantrum. Because we all know how diplomatic and personable he can be, especially when heās frustrated.
Pelosi would need the votes, and she has said they are not there, so it is not entirely about her (although I suspect she agrees with the majority of Democrats) which Kennedy is quick to ignore. I think it is the taste of racism at one issue for Democrats, although perhaps some Republican politicians do have a taste for that.

Looking backwards just a bit, itās a certainty that no Republican in Congress ever allowed his or her ādistasteā for President Obama to get in the way of any deals, nor was that a factor in the theft of Obamaās SCOTUS nomination. Nope, they were always completely rational.
