Discussion: GOP Rep. Wonders If NY Times' Sources Are Russians Posing As US Officials

I think the peroxide for bleaching his hair done seeped in his ear holes…

What an asshat…

Say what you want about McCarthy, at least HE was a Republican who put America First, and actively tried to find Soviet plants undermining America.

Unlike the entire modern Republican Party, who is actively working to prevent us finding out whether there was a real threat against the USA from a former KGB agent…

Is it possible the Moon is made of green cheese? Is it possible this idiot is trying to run interference for Agent Orange? I wonder…

WTF? Is he writing a novel and trying to get confirmation if ‘it could or could not’ WORK from the FBI?

If you start sentences with “Is it Possible…” then there is a 90% chance you have been watching Ancient Aliens way too much

I am guessing that earlier today somewhere on fringe conspiracy sites - this idea was floated - and since this is now a staple of how GoPers get their ‘deflection points’, Dude decided to run with it.

Is it possible that there could be a “near solar-system” super nova that could wipe out all life on earth?

Yes.

Can you say “desperation”?

These guys are pitiful. I see that Spicer also brought up Hillary and “ties” to Russia at today’s presser.

Up the creek without a paddle, boys.

I’m sure. You would ‘think’ these jerks would be embarrassed but evidently there is no depth they won’t sink to…

It’s my understanding that the New York Times only hires reporters who are looking for their first work experience.

The Russian agent who gave up US secrets? As noted in news report below:

Washington Post, July 27: “PHILADELPHIA — Republican nominee Donald Trump pleaded directly Wednesday with the Russian government to meddle in the U.S. presidential election by finding and releasing tens of thousands of private emails from his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton — an extraordinary and perhaps unprecedented maneuver in American politics.”

Certainly by fawning over Putin to the point where he chose to attack Americans and American institutions rather than say anything negative about the Russian strongman, Trump has compromised himself. By doing this, not only does he appear suspicious, but he is behaving as though he is guilty. As such that it would be easy for the Russians to produce “fake news” themselves that would make it almost impossible for Trump to deny. Trump must know that it would be very easy for the Russians to produce a document, true or otherwise, directly implicating the Trump campaign in a conspiracy with Russian government and then have this document dumped on Wikileaks. Even if Trump didn’t actually collude with the Russians, his bizarre behavior suggesting that he may have has put Trump in a position where the Russians now own him.

What’s “interesting” is that the reliance on “alt-media” that essentially have no journalistic standards means that an org like the NYTimes, which would certainly have confirmed who they were talking to, would also have no standards and no double checks.

Hey, someone on the interwebs said the source could have been a Russian POSING as a US intelligence source, so that must be true. Or someone with a radio show or webcast, so it must be legit, right? Sigh…
