“I will fully admit, Wolf, I did not but I can also assure you my staff did,” Collins told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer when asked if he read the full bill. “We have to rely on our staff.”

translation: we need to have people to blame our failures on because we’re the party of personal responsibility…

Save that video, NY Dems. It will work against Faso, Stefanik, Tenney, and Reed just as well.

The bill is put forward by my team. Why should I have to know what it says?

“The AHCA would nix the Essential Plan option, which provides New York with $3 billion annually for a program that offers benefits for low-income residents who do not qualify for Medicaid.”

For GOPers, that’s a feature, not a bug.

It would be interesting to know what percentage of those “low-income residents who do not qualify for Medicaid” are urban minorities and what percentage are rural whites.

You vote to take away health care for tens of millions, raise premiums and deductibles - making health care more difficult to get and more expensive for hundreds of millions more, and to end a program in your own home state, and then have the bellicose stupidity to insult the citizens of your own home state about it?

Representative Collins, as a New Yorker, I only have one thing to say to you:

You’re going down, fucker.

Well there are a few problems with the bill. It still allocates something for people, but we can fix that as time goes by. You couldn’t expect us to just repeal the ACA. That would hurt us politically. So we have to get rid of it step by stop

Where is the Fux News OUTRAGE that they didn’t read the bill? Where is the gnashing of teeth and rending of garments? What about the sack cloth and ashes … ah well. The rending of careers must be sufficient.

Nothing wrong with relying on your staff, but obviously his staff didn’t brief him well. Someone is gonna get an ass chewing this morning.

I found out my staff hated 3 million poor people, too. I kinda told them that was being dickish and cruel. I think they took my admonishment to heart, but who knows, maybe a few of them went out later fag bashing. Stuff happens.

It would seem to problem is many of those that voted for them do not understand what was available for a benefit and do not understand what they will lose under this law. They also do not understand, or care, what the top % will gain. The. D’s need to start the education NOW! We are in the position we are in because after the ACA passed the D’s said our work is done here and moved on to other things. The R’s said our work has just started and almost daily put out (mostly false) negative criticism of the ACA. Have D’s learned anything?

And the attack ad will be,
“I will fully admit Wolf, I did not.” Full stop.

The blowback from this has to be fierce and unequivocal. That will scare the daylights out of the Senate.

Probably not

Or they did brief him on it and that’s why he voted for it. Note that there was no expression of disapproval.

Gee, now I wonder if he is aware of the provision in the bill that disallows any resident in a state that mandates coverage for abortions from obtaining the federal tax credits for their health care coverage. Believe New York is one of those states. Cali too and the repubs there carried the ball over the goal line. Midterms could be very interesting.

And even though Katko voted ‘no’ to prove how ‘reasonable’ he is, if that dude went to the party, we need a picture of him tipping a cool one in celebration of killing millions of Americans.

Your own team’s pitcher, because what they thought was a home run was actually a foul ball right into his own dugout.
