He demanded that he have “seat at the table on all future discussions on this issue,”
He’ll be lucky to get a seat in the shithouse, and it would have to specially accommodate someone with no backbone.
American’s aren’t afraid. Who is it that’s afraid? We have drama queens telling us we should be afraid and since media loves drama and thrives on emotional messages the drumbeat is deafening but are people actually afraid? Only those following orders, the order to be afraid, are afraid.
A lack of profiles in courage.
“He demanded that he have “seat at the table on all future discussions on this issue,” and once an agreement was met, Russell switched his vote.”
Steve, youi DO know that just because they told you that you could sit down DOESN’T mean that they will let you say anything, right? You DO know that…please at say that you know THAT!

Nobody here was there. I wish they were
still, he’s a Republican who can actually think and has some sense of the right things, from Oklahoma, no less.
rwc2: i tried to email him at his website, congratulating him on his reasoned stance. the site would not accept emails from outside his district. later in the day he flip-flopped and sold out for political advantage. a person who knows the right thing to do and decides not to is not high on my admiration list.
Trump frightens me. What frightens me more is the number of Americans who agree with him. You know, Adolph Hitler never won a majority. He had, I think, 33% of the vote in 1933, but Hindenburg thought he could be reasonable and didn’t want to appoint a hippie (OK, they weren’t called hippies back then, he didn’t want to appoint a leftist, happy?). There are already some fascists among the Republicans in the House. I’m not so sure about the Senate, but they can’t be far behind.
