True enough…I suppose there isn’t much new about the whole GOP/Teatrolls effort to partisan-ize Israel. I guess I’m sortof focusing more on just the new escalation of it and the new-ness of just how far they’ve now proven they’re willing to take it by so blatantly, openly and directly involving Bibi in it. It almost feels like they think they found a way to fabricate the trump card that would finally kick off another Jewish Disapora …except this time from the Dems to the GOP.
King’s view of the world is so warped. What he is saying is only true in his own mind. I have no idea how he arrives at these conclusions. America Jews voted for Obama overwhelmingly in both elections. Why would he want to “get back” at them.
Israel: The Tea-People don’t like you. They don’t even pretend to like you. They hate you. They like Israel as a mapped piece of dirt because they they think they need it for Jesus to come return.
That’s right: The Omnipotent Tea Party God, needs a place named Israel or he can’t send Jesus back. So they are protecting your place so God can do His thing for them. In Tea-ology, The Creator of the Universe is helpless without the Tea Beings protecting you. Makes them pretty darned important, huh?
Oh, also in Tea-ology: When Jesus does return to a very well-mapped Israel, he takes Tea People to Heaven, and damns you to Hell for being non-Christian. Make sense?

What I don’t get is how they don;t realize that this constant bashing of the president on a daily basis for every fucking thing that happens, is working against them.

They tried to win Hispanics by accusing Obama of not fulfilling his promise on immigration - that didn’t work.
They tried to win Black people by saying Obama made the unemployment rate in their community go up - that didn’t work.
Now they are trying to get the American Jewish people on board by accusing Obama and Democrats of turning their back on Israel.
I don’t think this will work; Jewish people seem to be able to see through the bullshit- but we will see…

Why are Rep. King and the GOP trying to undermine President Obama’s attempts to conduct foreign policy? Why do they want to give aid and comfort to the terrorists?
Once upon a time, there was a man who achieved fame by singing out of his asshole. So the guy who supported a terrorist organization in Ireland is accusing the President of supporting terrorists in the Mideast because he won’t let the GOP dictate American foreign policy? Rep King is an idiot. Was he one of those idiots in Congress that dyed his finger purple after DEMOCRATIC elections in Iraq?
But really, Snif, this is and always has been about placating the Republican Christianist base who believe that we must assist Israel in order to fulfill the Biblical prophesy of the Second Coming. I don’t believe they are trying to expand their base all, but placate their existing one. Without this “prophecy” most Republicans who are not Jews couldn’t care less about Israel.
