"It was very clear what their attempts were to undergird our democratic institutions.”
No, ya moron, they have underMINED our democratic institutions. UnderGIRDING our democratic institutions is what your hateful, divisive repug congress is supposed to be for.
We’ve all heard of the perjury trap. Did Mueller set a treason trap on Friday?
Sure looks like Donnie fell into it…
“I’ve seen Russian intelligence Fox News manipulate many people in my career, and I never thought the US President would be one of them”.
“So it’s disappointing. Also that press conference showed why Vladimir Putin Fox News is so formidable when it comes to disinformation, because I actually believe that press conference was disinformation. It was very clear what their attempts were to undergird our democratic institutions.”
Also true.
Ah yes Faux news
On their planet
and I am not making this up
The 5 at 5 yesterday were discussing the campaign war chest that Donnie has accumulated for 2020 and how he is ahead of everyone else.
It’s a good thing nothing else was happening with their President
So it’s disappointing
No Congressman, “disappointing” is when you find out the tickets you have are in the tenth row, when you thought they were in the second row.
This is treason. Say it. Many of your colleagues already are.
Historians may very well see it as the indictments that saved the nation.
Well, it is infrastructure weak.
I’ll see myself out.
You guys wanted and are supporting a vain, egocentric narcissist who requires fawning and genuflecting. It’s well known that his opinions often reflect the opinion of whomever he talked to last.
It shouldn’t surprise you that a KGB officer would be able to play him like a fiddle.
We have a Russian agent in the WH and the GOP is just fine with it.
I feel like telling the guy who married the woman we all warned him about that, yeah, we’re not surprised she drained his bank account and left town in his car with her boss.
A little nitpicky, dontcha think? (don’t worry, I know “dontcha” is not a real word.)
He’s a smart enough guy being interviewed live, and he reached for a word and got the wrong one. Who has never done that? Let’s not shoot people making an important point.
Disappointing? That’s it…not going to do anything about it are you congressman?
I agree, but I’ll put money down that his list of things he plans to do about it looks like this.
As far as I’m concerned a list like that makes him complicit, and I’m perfectly willing to have people shot for treason. (after due process and all)
Could also be a transcription error. Or more and more spellcheck changing a word.
I watched Faux all afternoon and as much of the evening as I could stand, and it was incredible. They started with early statements of disbelief that a president couldn’t state support for his intelligence team over a KGB agent, then devolved into equivocation, then full damage control by the evening. I “learned” that Trump was just being deferential to his host, practicing bold diplomacy, and that the real problem was hysterical overreaction to the president by Democrats (most of whom wear Che Guevara t-shirts) and hate his every move. Oh, and the Steele dossier is full of nothing but lies, and the pee tape has been debunked. Oh, and also it’s a fact that nothing the Russians did in 2016 had ANYTHING to do with Trump’s victory. It was probably stated 30 times; propaganda relies on repetition.
Overall it was quite a propagandistic spectacle, despite decent initial work by people like Shep Smith and a few correspondents. They are overwhelmed by the bias of the editorial team.
An event has happened, upon which it is difficult to speak, and impossible to be silent.
Edmund Burke
What’s weird is that Fox and the RWNJ media make even more money when a democrat is in power because they can play the desperate outsiders trying to save the republic. I’ve heard Limbaugh say as much. Their people LOVE being in the bottom bunk politically. Being in charge not only doesn’t suit them and is way beyond their skill set, it costs their media arm big advertising dollars.
You’d think they’d just usher Trump out the door so that they get more eyeballs.
Disinformation = fake news.
Tired of the dissembling/lying.
Pelosi and Schumer have not used the word “treason.” Pelosi called it “embarrassing.” Both she and Schumer wondered out loud what kind of kompromat Putin must have on Trump. Basically said stuff that could have been said a year ago, and no criticism of the GOP’s central role in this. I guess they’re calculating–there’s that word again–that if they actually state the obvious, call out the naked emperor, some group of mythically good faith undecided real Murikans in some Ohio State Assembly swing district might frown disapprovingly. Or that Republicans in Congress will take the lead in bringing Trump to justice. I really don’t know.
At least Hurd said Trump is being manipulated by Russia. It’s a PGOTO by now, to be sure, but at least he said it.
The GOP is stuck now. The president is under the influence of an adversary. Are they going to do nothing and hope the D’s don’t make it an issue this fall?
