Rep. Scott Garrett (R-NJ) supports terrorists! Thatâs what people are saying. Him included.
âI have fallen off my white pedestal and canât get upâŚso I need more guns.â
If the Department of Fatherland Security classifies them as domestic terrorists, Garrett should be prosecuted.
Another one got out of the basket againâŚ
The tree of LiberTy must be refreshed FRoM time to tiMe with the blood of LiBTards coming ouT of theiR whaTEvers.
Itâs just mind-boggling how many Republicans are pallinâ around with terrorists!
I knew, just from the headline, that this was either Garrett or Chris Smith.
I guess every state has a few turds in the Congressional punch bowl.
It never fails to amaze me how closely affiliating yourself with a left wing armed anti-government group is political suicide, but affiliating yourself with a right wing armed anti-government group is just an eccentricity. And itâs not a new thing. The last right wing extremist group in the U.S. that was too toxic for any mainstream politician to touch was the German American Bund.
The trouble with this kind of unsung hero is that too often when you go ahead and sing them, youâll read within a week or so theyâve been arrested on some kind of unsavory charge. Domestic violence, child porn, that sort of thing. It makes people wary about hero-singing.
Too many Left wingers ignore Congressional, state elections and then boycott, sulk, go off on tangents, support third parties or donât even register in the first place.
Too many Right wingers focus on Congress and the states, while they take over established parties and primary (by concerted action) all those without the extreme views.
This NJ guy could have been a member of the âRight Wingâ Third Party. But why do that when they can take over the GOP? For people who are widely panned as âstupidâ and ânot brightâ, those on the Right have managed to stall the country for the last 17 years (and thatâs a conservative estimate, when social stratification data is included).
How unsung can a hero be?
Got me to thinking about the LimboâŚ
Anybody who hates gays that much probably lives in the closet.
I agree that thereâs a double standard. But Cook Political rates Garrettâs re-election contest as a tossup. Perhaps in this case, the unfairly light burden of him supporting a terrorist group could make enough of a difference for him to lose.
The idea that Garrett could be in a âtoss-upâ situation is monumental proof as to how extreme he is - the district that he is in is about as solid Republican as you can get - a blend of affluent GOP and rural Tea-Party that is about as right wing as it gets - and Gerrett is almost taunting even them with his strident âletâs take America back - to 1855â reactionary stances.
In 2006, Garrett was the only congressman from New Jersey to vote against the reauthorization of the Voting Rights Act, citing his opposition to requirements to print non-English ballots
Ladies and gentlemenâŚmy congressman.
my condolences - makes you miss Marge Roukema ?
Thank youâŚthank you. (holding arms out for a comforting hug )
His district is only R+4, but it is pretty high-incomeâŚdoes he have a credible challenger?
