Criminal is such a hard word, what about felon, is that a better word?
I got to see that in real time. More like, “unreal” time. Sheesh.
He kept dancing around whether there was an actual crime involved, ignoring the fact that Cohen has already pleaded guilty to said crimes.
Human pretzel.
NY-23, you are not sending your best. I hope.
“I don’t agree with the assumption that he’s been accused of a crime, I don’t see that here,” said Tom Reed, who has the IQ of a low-grade brick.
Lets just wait. We know that Trump did what he’s suspected of doing. Right now we DON’T have guilty knowledge that he did though. But that’s in Mueller’s pocket for sure. So rather than frustrate ourselves with these goofy denials just wait. It won’t be long before any these fools cannot continue to deny the obvious.
If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.
This is not a matter of opinion or interpretation. You can frame it as that, but it’s in the court system now. That’s what all these clowns won’t admit. You can’t spin stuff in court, or get your flying monkeys to help. For you “The Wire” fans, it’s like when Stringer Bell told Jimmy McNulty that Omar couldn’t have been a witness to the crime being tried, since the word on the street was he wasn’t there. “Trouble is, String,” McNulty said, “we ain’t on the street. We’re in a court of law.”
Wrapping yourself around Trump might not be the best strategy for Rep. Reed. The margins in his last three races were 22, 15, 10. Two more years kissing the t-Rump could make that last 10 disappear.
If Mueller put in writing, you can be sure that he is relying on much harder evidence than the words of one or more known liars. Voice recordings, emails, etc. He’s got them.
Facts have a problem of being what they are, not what you might like them to be.
“Rep. Tom Reed (R-NY)”
Well, I’ll be: A rare New York Republican.
Haven’t they been put on the Endangered Species List?
Better enjoy a rare glimpse of the passenger pigeon before it’s gone forever…
Tom Reed saw a big drop off in support this past cycle. He could lose that seat in '20. SDNY has to charge Trump and indict him. The longer they wait the more they allow the GOP to apply political pressure to the environment. Politics had no role in the SDNY’s investigation to date and it should not with respect to the decision to indict. If Cohen pleaded guilty to the felony and SDNY confirmed that the crime was directed by Trump, he needs to be charged for conspiracy. He defrauded the American voting public with these payoffs. This isn’t a complicated case to make once the corroborating evidence of intent is established given the timing of these payments so close to Election Day.
Careful, Tom! Keep acting like that and Manafort will want a you skin jacket!
Reed’s attempt at using the English language is what is criminal.
NY and California have few republicans, but the ones they do have are dumber that a brick and more mean spirited that a Tasmanian devil.
“Obviously, there’s activity here, but I don’t think it’s criminal.
Whether or not it was wise, I’ll defer to the American people on that.”
There’s our preview of the coming defense of the Orange Figurehead:
“Yeah, so we colluded. But we’ll let the American people decide if that’s a bad thing after we bombard them with military-grade nonsense for a few cycles. Laws are suggestions, anyway, amirite?”
One thing about Trump is that we can figure out who the good liars are on the other side…
This one clearly is not…
Since when do Repukes tell the truth ?
Reed continued, “I mean, we’re both Republicans. We’re of the same Party. IOKIYAR. We operate under a different criminal code than Democrats. Applying the same legal standard to us is just not fair.”
