I did earlier, about the online X-word puzzle? Thanks for the tip.

I’m pretty sure this fool had no problem when those teabaggers were all crowding into those town halls liberal legislators were holding some years back, with their live free or die flags and their tri-cornered hats. In fact, he was probably just full of glee back then…

OT – Sad news. Just heard on TV Chuck Berry has died at 90. Bummer.

We turn out and we can throw all of them out of this county next year

He didn’t. He read it correctly and is following it to a ā€œTā€.

In the last week, three Republican members of Congress from red, red NE had contentious town hall meetings lasting at least 90 min. This is not a fluck nor are these merely democrats attending. Some questioners identifying as Republicans were concerned about Russia, education, healthcare and even abortion and defunding PP.

Fortenberry was contemptuous of the crowd, Sasse respectful mostly but did get condescending at times. Fischer was fairly banal. All were evasive, aping Republican talking points and all were booed fairly regularly. Participants reacted negatively with their usual silly rules-scapegoating ACLU, PP and putting down ACA with nonsense. All seemed to think the audiences were paid and represented a minority. None cared about the views of the audience.

I think so too and I think we will turn out and there are more people volunteering for things than ever, so you know the GOTV effort will be big next year.

I looked it up and Gov. Greg Abbott is indeed up for reelection in 2018. Supposedly hasn’t decided whether to run yet. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas

Really could be wave election, you are definitely right!

More importantly, how does he thinks he gets elected? What a dumb ass!

I thought he had announced awhile back.

He better draw a decent opponent. We could have bounced Hensarling last November but he didn’t have an opponent. Sessions either, if I remember correctly.

The real problem with guys like Sessions is that when he meet with angry constituents it never occurs to him that maybe, just maybe he is not representing his constituents needs very well. But then, more than likely it is simply that he just doesn’t give a sh*t.

Now they want to Vote?
sigh
I’d say the typical ā€œBetter late than never,ā€ but we’re 19 months away from the first and only chance America has to correct it’s red, white and blue Blunder before the next onset of political` apathy.
Big News today from the USA. I read that 60% of people came out to vote in 2016.
Big News, that.
Until you realize that means that 4 in every 10 Did Not Vote.
Enter people like Sessions.
Tell me, how many of these people will America hear from in nearly two years time?
Only 60% of them at best.
So how difficult can life and politics really be for yet another political hack, whose only interest is hanging on to power?
Ask and honestly answer the same question 534 times more, and you might just begin to see how America got ā€œtrumped.ā€

That’s actually what I’m hoping 45 will say soon and then get on a helicopter and get the fuck out of the U.S. forever.

As he was met with shouts, Sessions at one point told the crowd,
ā€œIt’s obvious to me that if we continue this, no member of Congress will
want to meet with people.ā€

Sessions appeared to grow frustrated with the crowd, and told them,
ā€œYou know what? I know why you’re so frustrated: You don’t know how to
listen,ā€ according to the Texas Tribune.
…
Two things are apparent here. One is Mr Sessions has forgotten who he works for, who his boss is.
The other is Mr Sessions and his friends in Congress are messing with people’s health care which is something people actually care about. It is currently a radioactive subject for a lot of people. Sessions doesn’t get that.

I am not in his district but in a district next to his. I was told that you had to register ahead of time to gain admittance to his town hall and that preference would be given to those residing in his district. So I’m assuming that most of the people in the hall were from his district.

In 2014, Sessions beat off a primary challenge from none other than Trump shill Katrina Pierson, then a Tea Party activist in Texas. Sessions eliminated her by publicizing her shoplifting conviction in 1997, when she was called Katrina Lanette Shaddix.

The Dallas Morning News reported the story:

The writer provides the details of the offense (to which she pleaded no longer contendere), including the fact that she had her infant with when arrested, while interweaving her political spin about the positives of petty crime as a life changing experience.

Classy group, those Texas GOPers. At least Sessions is solid on Meals on Wheels.
