You don’t know how to listen
Pete’s a real sweetheart and upsidedown crucifixion would be too kind a fate for him (don’t know if that’s covered on his plan)…
If representatives won’t meet with angry constituents, as Sessions suggests, how will they know what their needs are and how to represent them?
DummEst quEstiOn evEr.
I am just heading off to bed now…I will fall asleep with a smile, to the sweet melody of a Gooper being serenaded with “vote him out” over Obamacare.
In Texas.
They are frustrated because HE is not listening to THEM.
Jerk.
Let’s hope Sessions and the rest of the Trump GOP vandals are voted out in 2018. It means we all must vote. No more sitting on our hands; no more searching for ideological purity; no more support for quixotic 3rd party candidates.
Hahahahahahahahahaha Way to go, Pete!
Watch them vote your ass out. hahahahahHAHAHAHAHA
They are all smartasses because they were gerrymandered in. That’s how Pete got in - part of the old Martin Frost district.
Yeah, I’m delighted that you copped an attitude, Pete ol boy! hahahahahaha
It is becoming evident that a lot of the Republican base is catching on to the absolute fact that the Republican congressional leadership is attacking them with their Obamacare replacement bill and they don’t like it one little bit. The fact is older Americans between 50 and 64 are going to be drilled by Trumpcare and the Republicans don’t have a clue just how angry 50-64 year old Americans can get when they conclude they are picking up the bill for a giant tax cut for the rich.
Sessions ought to get the message. He is going to be voted out if he isn’t careful.
Can a wave election take out jackasses like Sessions? How Republican is his district?
Sessions said that he would like to save funding for the National Institutes of Health and programs like Meals on Wheels, according to the Texas Tribune.
Meanwhile,
On Thursday, White House Budget Director Mick Mulvaney attacked the service, saying programs like Meals on Wheels “are just not showing any results.”
“We can’t do that anymore,” Mulvaney said. “We can’t spend money on programs just because they sound good. And Meals on Wheels sounds great.”
Does Meals on Wheels “show results”? Do your own investigation. Find a nurse who provides skilled care to people who are home bound.
Ask the nurse how his / her patients would fare without Meals on Wheels. Malnutrition sends frail people to the hospital.
Mulvaney should admit he has no idea what the #$@* he’s talking about.
Sweet dreams. May you dream of President Kamala Harris.
Probably pretty damn Republican but that is his problem the people taking it on the chin are the people Sessions is counting on to vote for him. He needs to figure out that repeal was great right up to the moment his voters figured out they are the ones who are going to be victims of the Republican elites and not those other people.
Hard to say - I don’t think it’s all that Republican since part of it is in my neighborhood which is mixed, but not overwhelmingly GOP at all.
I’m sorry to bore the people who have heard me say this so many times but: we can get rid of him next year. We did it in '06. We turned out and turned the county blue. Now that blue line is pushing outward into the suburbs.
We turn out and we can throw all of them out of this county next year. We threw out most of the GOP in one night in '06 and replaced them with Democrats. We can get the remaining ones out of here next year.
Did you go to the town hall?
Tea leaves read on the veranda of their summer place.
@katscherger Before Harris was elected, though it looked fairly certain she would win, there was talk along these lines. Now we’ve got her where we want her.
WHY? Why are these people so HELL BENTon repealing the ACA when it appears their constituents are having none of it. Do they hate it that much? Is this about money? Or their corporate backers? Or is it because it took OBAMA and the Femocrats to pass it and they can’t stand democrats getting all the credit.
I didn’t know about it. He’s not my rep.
My rep is Jeb Hensarling and he did a tele townhall.
Because they promised the batshit crazy people who nominate them. Not the general voting public - the far right loons who control who gets to run from the GOP these days.
Exactly so. I wondered if no one thought to turn his quote back to him: “I know why you’re so frustrated: You don’t know how to listen.”
