One side shouts “Vote Him Out” while the other side shouts “Lock Her Up”. It’s very apparent which one supports Democracy.
Voters are mad,
'Cause they’ve been had,
Deep in the Heart of Texas
Showed up to meet,
Some to tweet,
Deep in the Heart of Texas
The angry crowd,
Was very loud,
Deep in the Heart of Texas
Rep. Sessions yelled,
Ya’ll go to H@ll*,
Deep in the Heart of Texas
I’ll vote, Repeal Replace,
Get outa my face*,
Deep in the Heart of Texas
The crowd then spouts
“Vote him Out!!”
Deep in the Heart of Texas
** In these to lines I interpreted the Congressesman’s response for the apparent intent behind those comments. Seeing this video, somehow that tune started playing, forgive me but I just had to capture it.
It’ll depend on what’s on Tee Vee that night. If it’s a big night on “The Bachelor” or “Dancing with the Stars”, Sessions is safe. After all, the voters have their priorities.
From “My Congressional District,” in about a 2-minuted look at Sessions’s district, it appears fairly diverse but predominately Caucasian, fairly prosperous, pretty well-educated, in short, the kind of legislative district that has tended to vote R the last few cycles. If those were Sessions’s constituents in the audience, he is in trouble. But that’s ok because he can always go back on the wingnut welfare rolls. https://www.census.gov/mycd/
I ask those from time to time. Keep forgetting GOP these days are far beyond rhetorical questions.
Bravo! Perhaps Brava! is correct
I know, but I really, really want to see a woman president in my lifetime.
Thank you and it’s brava.
You know, this isn’t going to be the case next year, don’t you? All these people who are turning out because they are angry are going to vote.
ANd they don’t have to miss a TV show to do it. We have great early voting in Dallas County.
I really am tired of the cynicism about Americans - it ignores our reaction to the Monster which has been incredible!
Thank you for that wonderful observation.
Thought so - glad I put it in the comment.
hahahaha
Mar-a-Lago, that newest cesspit into which all the loungers and idlers of the Trumpire are irresistibly drained or forced into a licensing agreement. There I stayed for some time, leading a largely Donaldless, meaningless existence, and spending such money as I had, considerably more freely than I ought.
-Apologies AC Doyle
I am pretty sure that the Kochs, the Leiningers (San Antonio wingnuts) and all the J.R Ewing wannabees around Dallas are really putting the screws to guys like Sessions, Hensarling, etc. They have been too long on the right-wing gravy train, and now it’s time to get to work.
The JR Ewing wannabes don’t live in Dallas.
They live in Highland Park. It is a separately incorporated town.

If representatives won’t meet with angry constituents, as Sessions suggests, how will they know what their needs are and how to represent them?

Been dealing with that all day on Facebook with some of my Reps supporters. I even had one guy ask why I was on our Reps’ page if I disliked Republicans so much.
My Congresscritter, Culberson, is having his dog-and-pony next Saturday (thankfully I get back home Friday). However… the chickenshit has scheduled his clownhall out at the extreme edge of the district, instead of where the population density is greatest. Guess he thinks we won’t drive outside the Loop.
Dumb mofo
a/k/a “The bubble”
Funny how he must have missed that part in the Representative’s handbook.
I would add that they may not be in the mood to listen to him since they obviously know how to read the steaming pile of crap he’s trying to promote.
Looks like George Conway’s days of going after a sitting president and leading the charge to impeach him made an impression at Orange House.
Trump has selected George T. Conway III, the husband of his counselor Kellyanne Conway, to head the civil division of the Justice Department, people familiar with the decision said on Saturday, placing him in charge of a crucial office charged with defending Mr. Trump’s contentious travel ban and lawsuits alleging that his business activities violate the Constitution.
Pete Sessions is one of the BIGGEST sanctimonious dicks in Congress. ‘You don’t know how to listen’??? REALLY Pete? YOU don’t know how to represent your constituents. You have ‘decided’ what is good for your ‘people’ all the while proclaiming that DEMOCRATS are destroying the middle class. You are a phony and a fraud and this couldn’t happen to more deserving person.
