This is great for Democrats.
The inability of the GOP-controlled House and Senate to pass the suite of appropriations bills to fund the government because of deep party divisions is one of the great ironies of this Congress.
And a continuing searing indictment of the addled morons who insist on voting most of these jerks in, but cannot connect the dots on why nothing gets done.
Hey Mr. Speaker there’s some members who need to be put in their place, who’s job is it?

Understatement of the year award … WINNER ! ! —
I mean come on the act of “governing” is an active voice not a passive voice.
Budget schmudget.
Most importantly, they’ve got to find a way to punish the Dems for the sit in.
After all, the Dems gummed up the works for a couple hours. That’s a couple of hours the Repubs could have used to shut the government down, and they’ll never get back.
If they don’t pass a stopgap funding bill soon, Republicans know it means trouble for them. Just image the government shutting down right before elections.
Please let’s have the GOP force a government shut down just before the elections. The GOP is already responsible for Trump. Now they can be responsible for millions of government employees out of work and shutting down the national parks again, just for starters.
How about making this required reading for the GOP. It’s blatantly apparent they never understood what they were saying when sworn in. Now I just want to swear at them.
The Oath of Office
“The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”
— U.S. Constitution, Article VI, clause 3
And as always of course, “great for John McCain.”
I am with you and also supporting the conservative wing of the GOP. To them, I say, “hold your ground. Shut down the government. That should teach your Party a lesson.”
The GOP “family values” B.S. continues…
It won’t even pass funding to help pregnant women against the Zika virus.
Come back in (7) weeks and try it again
Don’t worry. Ryan has had all summer to prepare for this. I think you will find the he has a plan at hand.
We need a different term to describe the legislators who are attempting to block appropriations bills necessary to keep the government in operation.
Because there is nothing “conservative” about not paying your obligations.
I know this is kind of off topic but…
The word freedom in the House “Freedom” Caucus should always be in quotes.
They’re about anything but freedom.
Them fellas in the Freedumb Cawcuss is shore doin’ a great job down there in Washington. Why any day now all them libruls an’ Reepublican critturs are gonna see how wrong they bin, an’ they’ll just close up shop an’ everthang will be hunky-dory…agin.
The Repubs are acting like, well, Repubs!
