Discussion: GOP Homeland Security Chairman: Hillary Clinton Committed 'Treason'

House Homeland Security Chairman Mike McCaul (R-TX) accused Hillary Clinton of committing “treason” Thursday morning because of the way the former secretary of state handled her emails.

Treason?

As I said yesterday, please, please impeach her quickly in the first two years of her term. She will be acquitted in the Senate, and the republicans will face the wrath of the American people in 2018 elections.

Hey Newt Gingrich! How did that work out for your?

United States Constitution, Article 3, Section III:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

Go fuck yourself, Mr. Chairman.

So the US Constitution defines treason as follows:

No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. … The Constitution defines treason as specific acts, namely “levying War against [the United States], or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.”

Just in case the Congressman wants to pretend to know what he is talking about. He did not reveal anything remotly close to the constitutional requirement. He should STFU and crawl back into his hole.

Treason
The betrayal of one’s own country by waging war against it or by consciously or purposely acting to aid its enemies.

The organized Republicans, their media, and their message would probably support an argument that they as a party and as a movement are treasonous. Just sayin’

HHS Chairmen speculating re non-public information which may affect election? Sounds like a #HatchActViolation…

How to file a Hatch Act violation.

Updated: Hatch Act only applies to employees of the Executive Branch. Sad!

Proof that he’s full of shit - if it had been infiltrated the Russians would have released the 30 thousand missing emails to Julian ASSange and WikiLeaks by now.

In addition, I accuse the un-esteemed Clowngressman with Misprision of Treason, under the statutes:

18 U.S. Code § 2382 - Misprision of treason

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States and having knowledge of the commission of any treason against them, conceals and does not, as soon as may be, disclose and make known the same to the President or to some judge of the United States, or to the governor or to some judge or justice of a particular State, is guilty of misprision of treason and shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than seven years, or both.
(June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 807; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII, § 330016(1)(H), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2147.)

Clearly he’s known about this dreaded “treason”, and has done nothing about it but bloviate. Being as he did not inform the president or other named authority as soon as may be (per the statute), I demand the appropriate officials charge him as noted above.

The fact that this asshole doesn’t know what treason actually is should be an immediate disqualifier from holding any elected office whatsoever, but most especially from being the House Homeland Security Chairman.

A lot of people are saying it’s just a matter of time before Mike McCaul’s hundreds of hours of pedophilia tapes come to light. Probably as a result of his wife filing battery charges.

Pretty rich coming from the party with a candidate on Putin’s retainer.

Michael McCaul is flexing his head muscles in preparation for a senate run against Cruz. Unfortunately for McCaul, his head is filled with the same cow-flop as his protege, Rick Perry; the difference is that McCaul married into his wealth, while Perry had to earn his the hard way, by sucking up to his owners.

Is the MSM proud of what they have produced? You’ve encouraged the bastards by your easy treatment of the orange racist loud mouth. Are you proud? Or are you counting your profits?
