ā¦and let me add the STUPIDITY of the members of Congress tasked to act as OVERSIGHT on this department. You silly a$$ Trump lickers have pretended this is all A-OK and how BAD could Trump fk it upā¦now you issue a statement that you are āconcernedā? You hypocritical fraud.
YEAH!!! You show 'em, Senator! Bring out the tough words!
Iām sure Trump will apologize any minute nowā¦
Sounds like someone didnāt get the message: The āVoidā is the plan. King Shit-Midas wants to ignore immigration law, and heās clearing out anyone who gets in his way. Heāll be left with lower-level staffers at DHS who will face the choice of obeying orders to break the law, or lose their jobs.
This CNN article Josh just linked (below) tells the story. I know it seems like Trump has been on the verge of a nervous breakdown for a while, but it sounds like heās really losing it now:
Thatās not a void, itās preparation for consolidation of the powerā¦
Think of the DHS as the equivalent of the Prussian Ministry of the Interiorā¦
And Stephen Miller as Theodore Heydrichā¦
āThe Night of the Drumstick Shivsā is coming soonā¦
Is this real concern or Susan Collins āconcernā?
Iām confident that President Putin will instruct the dotard who to nominate soon enough, heard Kilimnik has the inside track on DHS chief
From the NYT just now:
Government officials, who asked not to be identified discussing personnel changes before they were announced, said at least two more top department figures were expected to leave soon as well: L. Francis Cissna, the head of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, and John Mitnick, the departmentās general counsel and a senior member of Ms. Nielsenās leadership team.
This should be more than just a concern about a void in leadership. This is a huge red flag that is flapping wildly with sirens blaring.
Co-Presidents Mitch McConnell and William Barr see no problemā¦
They want people to be polite Americans and just do what theyāre told
Sen. Johnson, where is the Senate proposal for immigration reform?
You donāt have one? Shut up then.
What a convenient meta-disaster. No doubt the problem is so pressing that we have no choice but to immediately install whomever is put forward by Charles Koch, without any vetting whatsoever. Probably donāt even have time to notify the Senate.
When disaster capitalists seize government.
Ron Johnson (R-WI) said Monday that he was āconcerned with the growing leadership void within the departmentā¦"
Ron Johnson, the Stupidest Person In The Senate, is now also the stupid version of Susan Collins (Collins may be a lying, craven, opportunistic politician but she isnāt stupid).
Johnson is stealing Collinsā shtick. So will the Senate have dueling concern concerts?
Fuck that, if we were polite Americans then weād all be singing God Save the Queen.
Uh huh, Republicans are āconcernedāā¦a void opens up in leadership of the apparatus that is supposed to guard the nation, and all they have is concern. How about a president telling law officers to break the law and tell judges to piss off? Does that concern them? A president demanding illegal acts, violating court orders, how about that? No? Of course notā¦the only concern seems to be that the president is being so open about his moves to install hard liners into the DHS administration who will be willing to inflict pain on immigrantsā¦they want that kept quiet so they donāt have to deal with it in 2020. They arenāt concerned with the possible dictatorship Trump is trying to bring about, they welcome it.
This keeps going and all of them will have a lot more to be concerned aboutā¦the nation is not in favor of these policies, at some point either there will be a major reaction that tosses them out, or weāll be looking at a conflagration. Either way, they loseā¦itās better for them if their moves towards authoritarianism are kept quiet.
Can someone literally dumber than a stump really be āconcernedā?
The irony is that leaving these agencies in the hands of career staffers, rather than political appointees, actually makes us all safer. The career staffers will resist all efforts to have them break the law. They owe nothing to Trump, and wonāt risk their jobs and pensions to make him happy. The political hacks, on the other hand, have every incentive to do what Trump wants.
On top of that, the career folks actually understand the role of the agency. They know what theyāre supposed to be doing, and how to go about it. The political placeholders are usually clueless.
Give me the Snivel Servantsā¢, any day.
