I suppose his glaring inadequacies never getting evaluated again came
from being a member of two conservative, political family’s gene pools?
I guess he is what you’d call a GOP standard bearer.
Yes! ET RULZ!
This guy would only be in the mid tier of Stupid Party politicians.
The evaluation of Laxalt strongly contrasted his self-assessment of his job performance. He described himself as "outstanding" and someone who regularly went above basic requirements and expectations. The evaluation committee noted the disconnection between their assessment and Laxalt's.
Yet another candidate for the GOP’s Dunning-Kruger effect poster child
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias manifesting in unskilled individuals suffering from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than is accurate. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their ineptitude.
Of course, he’s not a shoo-in because there are so many other candidates.
Still, he deserves some slack. With his parentage, he started life with two strikes on him, competence-wise.
Laxalt is the son of former Sen. Pete Domenici (R-NM) and Michelle Laxalt, the daughter of former Sen. Paul Laxalt (R-NV), who also was governor of Nevada.
Don’t know shit, but still thinks his doesn’t stink. Conceived, born and raised in a marinade of gross conservative hypocrisy - on both sides. Literally, a bastard. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you: The Perfect Republican.
To beg the question means that a person presented a circular argument in which the conclusion was included in the premise.
No actual question is included.
Shades of “W.” Too bad it’s not 50 shades so we could at least slap this dumb bitch around a bit.
The “Liz Cheney” school of ladder-climbing. I’m sure this tool will have exactly as much success as dear Lizard.
Here we have someone trading on his name in a very small state.
Yet another occasion where you look at the individual and say “This is the best they have on offer?”
Another Grumpy Old Party loser.
Why would the firm keep him? Grandson of former Governor, son of Senator.
Gotta admit, the Euros have it all over us when it comes to vacation. We’re our own worst enemies, most of the time.
It is worth pointing out that under the “Positive Feedback” section, nothing is listed. Ouch.
The last thing Nevada needs is another crook Laxalt in public life.
but wait a minute doesn’t his being the bastard son of a former right wing senator and the son of another former senator mean he deserves the job even if he doesn’t know anything about how to do the job?
"Dick Cheney calls him “courageous” and says electing him “is of the highest priority. John Bolton traveled across the country to headline a fundraiser for him. Newt Gingrich, Frank Fahrenkopf, Tom Ridge and Ed Meese (remember him?) all appeared at the same D.C. event to celebrate his candidacy. Donald Rumsfeld gave him a personal check for $5,000, part of a half-million-dollar haul.
Who is this remarkable contender attracting such a list of national GOP luminaries? What remarkably accomplished figure could warrant such attention? Who can command encomia from a former vice president, attorney general, defense secretary, House speaker, chairman of the Republican National Committee and Homeland Security secretary? "
Adam started his career working for John Bolton. Need I say more.

But they’re going to keep him anyway.
I see no bootstraps in his continued employment, just silver spoons.
A born and bred politician, run him for president.
This says it all:
I dunno. Just try to work your way through Charles DeGaulle Airport on the 1st weekend in August. Mosh pit, thy name is CDG Airport. It took 2 hours to work my way across the lobby just to get in line to check my one bag. The crush of humanity was epic. And that was all prior to going through passport control and security. Seemed like all of Paris wanted outta town all at the same place and time. (note to self: remember to not attempt air travel in August in France).
The issue is nepotism. Laxalt was the Senator back in the 1990s, and clearly his spawn was taken on as a favor. The name is known. The problem is, as in so many cases, the spawn sucks.
