I have to say that I’m a little surprised that the Nevada Bar offers continuing legal education credits for basic principles of law. And cripes - Georgetown Law? Has anyone actually done a check on this?

He’s one of the new breed of legacy candidates. Unequipped to do what he’s pursuing but daddy, grandfather, uncle, etc., did it so he thinks he can. It’s similar to dubya being admitted to Yale.

No, associates do not get a document to sign when they have their annual reviews, at least not this type of document. This is clearly an internal document that the reviewing partners would use to guide their conversation perhaps and to communicate among the partners, but Laxalt would never have seen this document. I have no doubt that this document is genuine.
But man, it’s really brutal, and the leaking of it is pretty shocking (putting aside my schadenfreude…). But for the fact that his last name is Laxalt and he’s the son of Domenici, this guy would have been toast.
And I now have to wonder what all those past reviews of me said…

“Begs the question” does not mean to generate a question. Laxalt got hired with no solid credentials when it could be argued many are needed and it begs the question.

True. But not the Catholic League types from the US. I get my extra 8- 10 days of vacation days each year due to these Catholics. I will not complain…they are good for something!
