Trump or surrogate expressing shock at such depravity and tarring entire Bush family in 5, 4, 3…

If I had a dollar for every lewd comment and butt pinch courtesy of some senior cougar I would buy a round for Ms. Lind and her cast and we could all have a good laugh. Dementia brings promiscuity. Ask a health care worker.

Sheesh! I’m a bit stunned. He must have lost his mind. Can’t that be a dementia symptom?

Who’s next? Jimmy Carter? Tom Hanks?

Well, at least Hair Furor can’t accuse one member of the Bush family of being “low energy”, as he beams with pride at yet another groper…

Well, I do think we have the moron to thank for this cascade of sexual harassment stories. It’s like all of the filth is rising to the surface. Unfortunately, there are untold layers of it.

The “apology” makes it sound like this is a regular problem with senior Bush. The security guy should have made sure Bush didn’t get near her, instead of sounding like Lind’s at fault for standing near Bush.

I’m walking away now, so that image isn’t permanently seared into my brain…

I highly HIGHLY doubt it.

It’s the Daily Mail, though, so I’m beginning to doubt the existence of George H.W. Bush.

Yes, it’s like a biofilm but instead of microorganisms it’s full of immorality.

Yeesh.

There were no shortage of “womanizing” allegations during his 1988 campaign and the press always let him off.

Maybe it’s time for someone to start telling what they know.

Agree. Carter’s still got his marbles. And he was always a gentleman besides.

The standard non-apology apology. “I’m sorry If you were offended” is basically blaming the victim. Fuck you, George H. W. Bush. You are a disgrace to humanity, you sick bastard…

And varying degrees. Clearly, this was inappropriate on Bush’s part, and I applaud what seems to be new and growing awareness of all this, especially what seems to be a new level of people feeling comfortable coming forward to make appropriate accusations. That, in particular, is huge, because it’s so utterly under-reported. I just hope we don’t devolve into equating this kind of dirty grandpa nonsense with the kind of abhorrent abuse engaged in by assholes like O’Cosby and Weinstein, because I fear that will weaken the momentum that seems to have built.

There’s plenty of examples of knee-jerk reactions and oversensitivity damaging the overall message and progress with issues like this. Saturation, dilution, crying wolf, etc. Millennials seem particularly bad about it. I’ll never forget watching a vid of some angry college girl screaming mindlessly in a school hallway at some skinny hippy white guy with dreads for his “cultural appropriation”, a phrase she probably learned in some well-meaning cultural awareness sociology class and then put to good use by creating an incident that fed Faux News’ white dominance propaganda for a week or two. Dude probably would have offered to smoke her up and shared his veggie burrito if she wasn’t out sleuthing for outrage fuel. I mean, geez…there’s woke and then there’s coke. Lay off the latter. Yeah, I know…this probably wasn’t a popular discussion point to bring up, but whatever.
