My Dad had dementia and trust me, that and the racist filter gets kicked to the curb pretty early in the disease.

Dementia, anesthesia, brain trauma all can leave a patient in a state where they say and do things that their previous self would be mortified to observe. The anesthesia is transient & swiftly resolved - and because of close supervision, it is usually only amusingly naughty. Some brain trauma can be resolved and the patient can regain their sensibilities - but Dementia & permanent brain trauma - are not going away
- and the necessary vigilance on the part of the caregivers can be exhausting - especially as they try to walk that line between managing inappropriate behavior and yet still leaving the patient with some dignity - no doubt it is a challenge to ward off every potential lewd interaction - without constantly issuing an embarrassing warning of “watch out - the former President has dramatically slipped and now has a habit of grabbing women buy the butt”

Yup, and despite this technically being sexual assault, it demeans the intensity of the words, as well as making the left look hypersensitive. It’s how SJW became laughing stokes, and is related to the left’s public opinion problem. Knock it off with this stupid carp. We are losing!

Those who think it’s no big deal to be groped by a lewd old coot- no matter who he/she is, you are wrong. I’m glad to have been warned about this one (just in case!). Offensive, and his wife/bodyguard shouldn’t allow it to happen.

I’m sorry, but this is not newsworthy. He has dementia, and I can tell you that after working with my father that unfortunately has dementia that there are no rules anymore. The good thing is that he can’t follow through with his lack of control.

“Cultural appropriation” is, by-and-large, bullshit. Most of the people who decry this don’t or can’t distinguish between the mischaracterization or misrepresentation of something for which the accused does not have first hand knowledge vs. writing about a culture or way of life someone has experienced first- or second-hand but doesn’t “belong to.” The concept seems to assume it is done to somehow denigrate the person, culture, nation. For example, had Dave Marsh’s excellent biography of Bob Marley, “Catch A Fire,” been published today he’d probably be critiqued for this work along these lines.
What the girl, whose outrage is undoubtedly fueled by something unrelated, should have been decrying is just how dumb white guys look in dreads. More a fashion/style faux pas when you get down to it.
“You can’t have a white guy being very good at martial arts - that’s cultural appropriation!”
“You can’t have an Asian guy as a martial artist - that’s racist stereotyping!”
