Won’t kick a guy when he is down, but he shouldn’t be in office, so maybe best all around.

If only more Rs who are bad at governing would do the right thing.

I hope he finds the help he needs.

I trust the DNC will put full support into Leslie Cockburn’s campaign. We cd use her in Congress from day one. She’s tough, smart, and more on top of it than, well, any current Dem. Let her run the House Intelligence Committee!

Good people don’t take funding for food, housing, and healthcare away from children so they can give money to the wealthiest people.

Sot.

Bummer. We had more of a chance beating Garrett than whomever else they put up.

‘“LIES…They are driven more by Republicans than Democrats’. Wow…MORE Republicans should show the courage to show what is happening within their party.

So how do the Republicans get to run someone else if the filing deadline is passed? Do they reserve spots for the 2 major parties? Or is it just the filing deadline for the primary and not the general?

I am a good man and I’m an alcoholic,” he said.

I’m not convinced that it is the alcoholic in you that believes that someone who can’t keep a job because of alcoholism should lose the health insurance that could enable him to afford treatment.

I suspect he hasn’t quite gotten to the searching and fearless moral inventory yet.

If you are a GOP politician and you aren’t an alcoholic at this point, then you clearly have no soul.

Winnable district for Dems. Overall, the sense one gets is that the Republican Party is cracking under pressure, being unable to handle to responsibilities of governing and representing the nation’s best interests with Trump as their leader.

I’m not a friend of Bill W. but if this guy could ease up on the constant histrionics as his first step I don’t see how it could hurt.

And, because he’s a white male GOP congresscritter, he gets to cry, invoke Jeebus, and get on with his life w/out consequences.

Fuck him. No mercy.

Maybe. On the other hand, at this late date, it may be difficult for the Rs to find a competitive candidate and put together a decent campaign. Dems need to take advantage of the opening this gives us.

“The recent attacks on my family and myself are a series of half-truths and whole lies,” Garrett said. “They are driven more by Republicans than Democrats. These attacks are not true and I can prove that.”

But I won’t. Instead, I’ll run away and hide.

I am much more of your mind on this. Campaigns don’t sprout up magically, nor does the money to fund them.
