Nancy Pelosi will be the next Speaker of the House.
Nothing but good ol’ fashioned horse trading…
Frankly one would worried if such things didn’t happen…
…and that’s how it’s done, Mr. Moulton. Adios.
I can’t type YES in big enough capital letters! Not because I love Pelosi so much for Speaker, as that I’m pissed off the battle for voting rights has to be re-fought at all. It’s even more important than getting a budget passed on time.
All those news reports about a crisis. Never mind.
I think there should be some horse-trading, honestly. I’m 100% behind making Pelosi the speaker again but there is a legitimate concern that Congressional Democrats could do a better job grooming their own replacements and then stepping aside. This is one area, perhaps the only area, where Congressional Republicans are doing a better job.
Fudge is lucky to have been granted a soft-landing… she knew she didn’t have the votes and her failure to sign on to the Equality Act was already being talked about… then today, we learned that she publicly supported a man (former judge) when he was arrested for beating his wife senseless (in front of the kids) and who went on to kill her this week.
Only for white evangelicals.
As this example suggests, Nancy Pelosi has some skills!
What’s Seth Moulton thinking right now?
Save from what the media was bleating, was there any doubt?
That’s a cut to the chase moment if I’ve ever seen one. Pelosi’s no dope, she knows what she has to do.
Sounds like a deal has been made. Pay attention Dems in congress, this woman has been around the block and knows how to get things going.
In a tweet from Joan Walsh and Moulton can’t imagine he’s had a part in it
“So #fivewhiteguys are following the tactics of the right wing white guy Freedom Caucus to block a woman speaker after an election in which women saved the Democrats. Got it.”
Yes, there was the gang of was it 16 that said they wouldn’t vote for her. I think it was real.
"DEMOCRATS IN DISARRAY!!!"
(“What’s that? Oh…never mind.”)
Trump wants to pat the horses’ behinds.
Yes, and so does Rep. Fudge. They both played this out quite nicely and both got what they wanted, each getting something that benefits the party and advances our agenda. I’m quite pleased.
This is how it’s done.
In one stroke Pelosi disarms the FiveWhiteGuys, offers her potential challenger an opportunity to work on some truly meaningful work, and grooms a future leader.
The Speaker of the House!
