My thoughts exactly. IC and Justice know the only way to get to Trump and his ties to Russian is to shine light on his corrupt safety valve, smirky little Beauregard. McConnell and Ryan should be taking note but are too greedy to realize the danger. Watching this all unfold reaffirms my faith in the process of karma/what goes around comes around.
Only the pattern of your inability to deal with reality.
Trump cabinet picks who lied under oath during confirmation:
— Nick Bilton (@nickbilton) March 2, 2017
Betsy DeVos
Mike Flynn
Tom Price
Steve Mnuchin
Rex Tillerson
Jeff Sessions
...
Let’s take a count:
Flynn, Tillerson, Ross, Manafort, Sheriff Clarke, Sessions, Cohen, Sater, Gorka, Epshteyn, all had Russian contact. But sure, there’s nothing to see here.
Drip, drip, drip.
i see plaid. what do you see.
This is what they do best. Their reporters live amongst the leakers, maybe even go to the same dog park or dry cleaner.
The point you are missing is that Mr. Sessions was not running his own e-mail server. THAT’s what we want to lock people up for. Also, he’s male, so, you know, treason hardly counts against him.
KWL
most of the scum you name are included in this story which sums up all the interlocked scandals, just like russian dolls, a scandal within a scandal within a scandal ad infinitum.
@the_mask oh, that’s funny, thx.
A whole lotta “nothing burgers”, if you ask me.
Trump, Conway, Sessions… it’s way past time Republicans start obeying the law.
Sessions did not answer Franken’s question, “What would you do…?” Plus, he added the gratuitous information, “I did not have communications with the Russians”, which he was not asked. I expect that by the time of the confirmation hearings, the Trump gang knew Sessions would be questioned about Russian contacts and that the subject was “hot”, so Sessions was rehearsed. The exact question he was asked was not among the questions Sessions was prepared for, so he responded with his prepared answer, which included a lie that he wasn’t even asked about.
That’s the problem with lying, and Sessions was under oath. A person who lies is much more apt to trip himself up than a person who tells the truth. Of course, sometimes liars get away with lying, witness the president, who any sentient being knows lies repeatedly, but when he’s caught lying, he seems to pay little or no price.
