All of this continues to make Trump look like shit, therefore it’s “fake news.” The honeymoon following his speech on Tuesday lasted less than 2 days.

Let’s be honest here: If Sessions committed perjury, there will be no investigation whatsoever because the Republicans control congress and they won’t let there be a vote, either in committee or before the full House or Senate. They will defend the perjurer–because he’s a Republican.
In fact, Sessions could commit treason, colluding with our enemies, and the Republiscum will still defend him. If it gains them power, all will be forgiven. They are such low scum, the Trumpies and the Rs. Scum. Treasonous scum.

He lied and he needs to resign. He could easily have said, “I have met from time to time with Russian officials in my capacity as a senator, but never as part of the Trump campaign.”
And that would have been that. Instead he gave a blanket “NO.” Not just on video, but in his written answers to Leahy as well.

Alt-explanation from the Sessions Camp is pretty weak tea for an AG who is supposed to understand questions and answer honestly under oath. What part of “any” is ambiguous? As they themselves stated unequivocally: Lock Him Up. That would happen to me if I lied under oath, correct? And a guy like Sessions would gleefully throw away the key to show how tough he is (because good people don’t smoke marijuana).

I realize that is a near impossibility for a sitting Senator, but Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III did so swear under penalty of perjury.
Yeah, the R’s control all three branches so there will be no investigation into this obvious disqualification. I expect the R’s will still be playing their little imaginary reality game when the Russians take control from them.
Arrest Sessions. Apply $100Million bail because he is a flight risk. Charge him with perjury, lying to Congress under oath. Ask Loretta Lynch to lead a special investigation into Russia-Trump (and all Trump surrogates) ties and serve as special prosecutor. Go after these rats.
Was there a question about Session’s honesty when he was under consideration for a federal judgeship? Maybe I’m wrong, but I think it wasn’t just his racism that blocked him from the position. If my recollection is correct, Democrats should bring this up, because it shows a pattern of dishonesty in the most sacred settings.
Their cash cow is producing tainted milk. Tough choices for the GOP. Do they pretend otherwise? That is tough to do when the bodies are falling left and right.

But we get “extremely misleading,” from one of our best Democratic Senators.
They should always assume the worst possible behavior on the part of Republicans, and focus on that because that is usually the truth.
