Franken is being careful.
If he asked this (strategically worded) question of Sessions, my guess is that he knew more than most. I could imagine that he’s one guy that Obama would trust enough to bring into the fold. Some of those breadcrumbs might have made their way into Franken’s pocket.
Fact: Sessions met with the Russians. Fact: Sessions was a U.S. Senator when he met with the Russians. Fact: Sessions was working for the Trump campaign when he met with the Russians. Political cross dressing/transvestism: Sessions was ONLY acting in those meetings as a U.S. Senator.

Were a democratic attorney general in a similar fix each half-hour Fox News propaganda broadcast would begin with a 10 minute segment discussing each and every minute detail (as Fox does with every pretend “scandal”).

Even if Sessions isn’t lying, his refusal to agree to a recusal, even hypothetically, is damning. Also, is he dumb as a post, or is the post smarter?
