If only there was a vaccine for that.

I don’t hate Christians, I hate smug assholes who tell lies on TV for money.

I’m looking at you Tucker.

Riiiiight…it’s Christianity we have a problem with, because it couldn’t possibly be that we take issue with your behavior, not your religion. After all, you seem to be 100% incapable of differentiating the two when it comes to other religions, so why wouldn’t you project that onto the rest of us and assume we think of you the same way you think of Muslims?

And let’s just cut to the quick…there are two kinds of people in this country: those who fervently scream “Christian Nation Christian Nation Christian Nation!!!” with wild zealot-eyed looks on their faces and then there are the rest of us, who find their behavior and the damage it causes fucking terrifying.

If education causes Christianphobia, the cure must be ignorance, right? I mean I’m new to logic and stuff, but that seems to be what they are saying.

Uh oh…then are sure you’re not a devout Christian too?

Damn you logic!

I’m not convinced that many adults choose not believe in a god because its general acceptance or lack thereof in society. That might be why children or youth opt out, but that is entirely different that not believing. I don’t believe because I don’t have the blind faith necessary for belief in a god.

I’m ok with christians. I’m ok with muslims. Hindus, wiccans, rastafarians, sure! All of em! But to me they are all equal. Just because European christians are considered the “discoverers” of north america doesn’t give this particular religion particular significance. I hate to trot out such a tired analogy, but if this logic were to hold, then we would all be practicing aboriginal spiritual beliefs. Who really cares anyway. You can practice what you want. Just don’t impose your belief on me. Period.

I’m sure they went on to discuss the intense, hostile anti-intellectualism so common among conservative Christians and the role it may have had in giving rise to disdain for Christianity among so-called elites, right? Right.

People don’t “have contempt for Christianity”. They have contempt for people who loudly purport to be Christian while completely ignoring the most basic tenets of the faith, i.e altruism and pacifism. Another aspect of this is the Right Wing’s attempt to co-opt Christianity to satisfy the goals of conservatives. They contend that no true Christian could be liberal, and no liberal could be patriotic. Therefore, in order to be patriotic, one must be a conservative Christian.

I’m a christian, and I don’t recognize this “christianphobia” of which he speaks. What I do recognize, and what I am sick and tired of, are elected officials trying to turn my christian beliefs into public policy and then shove those beliefs down the throats of others.

Poor little Trust Fund Tucker.

When they were passing out stupid, Tucker stood in line at least twice.

I wonder if the IQ of the average Fox viewer makes it to the triple digits?

Short answer—no.

Moronophobia, maybe.

Very few people are afraid of Christians, or have any reason to be. It’s an entirely different matter when it comes to right wing extremists who won’t rest until they’ve forced their perverted version of Christianity on everyone else.

Actually, I have an idea that the reason for Chrstianphobia is sitting on that couch!

And I still am not sure if this is what Tucker, in his brilliance, meant … but I guess stupidity is a good thing?

Isn’t feeling persecuted kind of de rigueur for Christians?

“Christianphobia”? Hardly - we don’t give fuck about your superstitions - just don’t try to ram that bullshit down our throats.

Make a declarative statement. Say it is “super common.” Proceed to complain about its existence. Offer no evidence, statistical or otherwise, whatsoever. Too typical for Fox News.
