She committed to do Fox Town Hall last Friday. CNN debate was Sunday.
Ralph, ya had me (even the fried egg) until the spam
Itâs also a classic Internet troll argument. âThe lurkers support me an email.â
Truly. I actively campaigned against her. But, those 11 hours of Benghazi hearing were a feat of intellect & poise. She has won me over with her skill, her range, her toughness. WE ALL NEED TO MAKE SURE SHE KNOWS we do not approve of her previous hawkishness.
Wow! Iâm impressed.
They are so deeply interested in policy and planning over there at Faux.
Hillary answers no and then they are stumped for what to do or ask next.
When the time is right, she will troll them just as Obama does. And the whining will begin.
Our next POTUS in waiting is a tough lady and will represent America well.
I watched last nightâs Town Hall with someone who does not like HRC. As Hillary went on elegantly and in complete control, I was struck to hear this person say that everything she was saying was a lie, because that is all she knows how to do. I asked this person to point out the lies, and she said she couldnât, but that wasnât important, she went on, because of all of the other lies Hillary has told in the past have been verified by everyone.
This election is either going to be a very hard or very easy.
The TPM headline is misleading. I did not watch a âgrillingâ. Questions were asked and a poised Hillary answered. We need to get away from sensational headlines. I watched the whole Congressional Committee fiasco and even found that far from a âgrillingâ.
Grill: To question relentlessly; cross-examine.
The Benghazi extravaganza was a grilling. It was not an interrogation the Republicans desired, because Secretary Clinton had her hand on the controls.
Agree entirely. I wish she would âset the barâ much further to the âleftâ so that when she negotiates with the bigoted âconservativesâ in Congress, she will come off more like LBJ and have a better chance than Obama had.
Hereâs the question I want her to answer:
Hillary, when are you going to stop lying about NOT being a Republican? The policies of your husband and the policies that you actually support go to benefiting giant US corporations and banks and the defense industry establishment while screwing the US middle class.
Hillary - you are a war hawk, you believe in secrecy from the people, you support NAFTA which has been a jobs disaster, you support TPP, you support fracking everywhere, you support big military spending which means the homeland will get screwed.
Hillary - stop lying about NOT being a Republican. Admit that you and Bill are devout United Methodists and that you are close to THE FELLOWSHIP in DC which is an underground secret society for the US Defense Industry Establishment.
Leave the peopleâs partyâŚgo join the Republican party of the rich, the bigots, and the corproations.
You realize that the email story (made up as it is) is one of the very few lines of attack available to conservatives like Fox. Personally, I think she is weak on a couple of other issues, but conservatives canât ask those questions because they are worse.
Picking on Hillary is easy because everyone has something to focus on for attacks. Bernie does and Trump is a dream come true for political attack ads.
The measurement against other candidates in a pros and cons column would be more useful and it only should be against real candidates, fantasy candidates that arenât and wonât ever be in the running only muddle reality.
âIâve heard others say that neither you nor your lawyers have been apprised that you are a target of the investigation. Is that true?â
Classic Faux News/conspiracy theory witch-hunter right there. Itâs all in the phrasing. The question pretty much assumes sheâs a target of the investigation and merely asks if sheâs been told.
Let me translate: âYouâre a target of the investigation and you either havenât been told or are pretending you havenât been told, correct?â
Right? How come she couldnât predict the future while using the same processes and procedures of the last two Secretaries of State who came before her?
Yep. I have gotten that a lot lately. âIâm not supporting Hillary Clinton because she lies.â I always ask, âWhat lies has she told that are troublesome to you?â Not one person has been able to come up with a single specific. A friend of mine posted an article on Facebook the other day that I thought was a really good counter to the whole âsheâs a liarâ meme. Rewarding 25 Years of GOP Smears
Using a private server was a bad decision.
Taking bankster money for speeches on the eve of running for president was a bad decision.
Voting for the Iraq war was a bad decision.
Backing free trade agrements was a bad decision.
Backing deregulation was a bad decision.
Look, the Presidency is nothing but a decision making machine.
Will someone give me a list of good decisions Hillary has made? Because if you are bad at decision making you arenât really cut out to be President.
Bernieâs got a track record of being on the right side of history going back to the 1960s. Would one of you Hillbots please give me a list of good decisions that Hillary has made, please.
I think Obama proves that good judgment is more important than experience in becoming president, he had plenty of the former and little of the latter and has done okay. Fortunately Bernie has plenty of both. Hillary Iâm not so sure.
Itâs been pointed out to me that people who was pass for journalists today are people who studied communication. They know when to emphasis various words in a paragraph, when to pause, when to look sympathetic to the interviewee, they look good on camera (see Broadcast News) and so on. Journalismâs a whole other ball of wax, and there are few left.
Not only that, but asking rapidfire questions that basically alternate between âyesâ and ânoâ answers pushes the respondent to mess up on one or the other, handing the interrogator an opening (or in this case a line of attack). Classic police questioning, and very effective, unless the respondent is smart, prepared, and above all, right.
âIâve heard others say that neither you nor your lawyers have been apprised that you are a target of the investigation. Is that true?â
So, lets break that down for a minute;
âIâve heard others sayâ = I made up in my own mind the idea thatâŚ
âNeither you nor your lawyers have been apprised that you are a target of the investigationâ = you are not accused of anything illegal. By anybody.
âIs that true?â = Can I get you make a verbal mistake I can jump all over? Please?
Translation: âMy bosses told me to trap you in a lie. Will you falsely indict yourself for me please?â
Answer: No.
âFox Newsâ is neither very âfoxyâ nor is it ânewsâ.
