Suicide is always a tragedy. Sad news.

Oh come on, it’s not like it was a saint like poor Deadbart.

Why? I am guessing very few of TPMs commenters even know him.

Suicide is a sad affair - at least he didn’t take anyone else with him - directly.

Coming to terms with the fact one has sold out all semblance of integrity and now works for the GOP propaganda cesspool FOX News parented by News Corpse…why the embarrassment alone could cause suicidal thoughts.

Perhaps the check for his integrity wasn’t what was promised?

That’s terrible! Condolences to his family and friends.

Tonight on Fox News: Where was Barack Obama the night Dominic Di-Natale died?

Hope springs eternal. I can hope that TPM commentators show more grace and empathy than Fox new commentators showed at Robin Williams’ death, though that bar was set very, very low.

This is not the obit I was hoping to read.

Lucky the Werdelbeast is no longer at TPM or you’d be BANNED

Obama doesn’t do his own wet work.

Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in America. I feel for his family and friends who are grieving right now. https://www.afsp.org/

Actually, I’m wondering if Dick Cheney has an alibi. I’m always wondering if Dick Cheney has an alibi.

I’m wondering if Fox will give his suicide the same horrible treatment they gave Robin Williams’?

Health issues but not specific–probably cancer and/or depression. Apparently he’s gay, so could be HIV although at this late date probably something layered on HIV. I haven’t seen an obit that actually mentions his reportage. He could easily have been one of Fox’s token actual journalists, although going from BBC to Fox is a bit odd.

I do agree with some of what you have said, but not when it comes to this poor guy and his death.

I imagine doing the devil’s work can take a toll on you.

Right now I don’t care where this man worked—I’m pretty sure we’ve all had jobs we were ambivalent about, even hated. It’s just a sad and frightening thing to hear about a fellow human being who couldn’t bear to go on living. I’ve got a moment of pity to spare.
