Discussion: Fox News Correspondent Dies Of Apparent Suicide

I’d kill myself as well working for Fox News. Death by cognitive dissonance?

It’s always sad when someone feels that suicide is the only avenue left for them.

A forum on someone’s death by suicide is not the place to cast aspersions.

Man, what a site. Thanks for linking- I guess.

Officials discovered Di-Natale’s body Wednesday after being alerted by a friend who knew of his state of mind regarding serious undisclosed health issues.

If it was a terminal illness about to enter an unpleasant end phase, I am sorry that our country has mostly failed to offer a right-to-die option.

We force people in terribly difficult and unpleasant circumstances to choose between suicide and carrying on. Suicide is often a lonely, secretive and shame-inducing end, one that leaves surviving family and friends hurt by the lost chance to say goodbye or tormented by the question of whether they should have or could have done anything different.

Carrying on can mean pain, the agony of losing mental and physical capabilities, and burdening others with the cost of expensive treatments and hospital confinement.

The GOP ranted about “Death Panels”. The Democrats failed to point out that the GOP’s preference amounts to favoring torture over counseling.

Poor guy. RIP.

I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more there.

If the undisclosed health issue was something terminal, I can understand why he did what he did.

Fox News will blame this on Obama in … 3 … 2 … 1 …

Idiot moron assumes gay=hiv?

So, will his colleagues tar & feather him like they did Robin Williams?

Jesus H. Christ!
Anyone who reads that crap and believes it is certifiably insane.

Suicide is terrible, my condolences to the family. I hope that a thorough investigation to rule out foul play is done though.

With the radicalization of the conservatism’s right wing, the sensitive nature of the stories Dominic Di-Natale covered, and the toxic environment in Rupert Murdoch’s media empire, it is important to get things done right.

It could, but as far as I know it doesn’t.

“PIPPIN: I didn’t think it would end this way.

GANDALF: End? No, the journey doesn’t end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.

PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what?

GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.

PIPPIN: Well, that isn’t so bad.

GANDALF: No. No, it isn’t.”

Safe journey, Dominic. Peace be to you and your family.

I do HIV research for a living–for someone his age it’s a relatively high likelihood outcome. I can say that without saying the obvious about you.
