Discussion: Fox News Apologizes For Guest's Claims About Muslim 'No-Go Zones'

Discussion for article #232187

Can a lawsuit be launched requiring that Fox remove the word “News” and replace it with “Propaganda and Lies”.

Now, about everything else you need to apologize for: where to begin…

Fox and Rupert Murdoch should be entitled to their own facts. They should not have to apologize for anything.

As I said before, considering how few apologies are ever given out at FauxNews, someone must have dragged Murdoch over the coals on that one.

It’ll only make them believe it harder.

FoxNews needs to apologize for its very existence.

“…errors on-air regarding the Muslim population in Europe…”

What the hell is wrong with you, Fox!

You’ve already convinced every white, non-Muslim in the United States that every Muslim American is an enemy. Humiliating 6 million people isn’t enough for you? Now you’re pissing them off in Europe??? Europe’s got 9 times the number of Muslims!

Are you trying to get us all killed?

An incredibly effective way to avoid having to do this kind of apology: don’t make stupid comments of this type, or at least bracket them with caveats. Fox apology acknowledges that a “guest” comment reflects on Fox itself.

I’m first to give it all for free speech, but why don’t I have a claim for damages against this stain on the psyche of the country? Fox and its fellow travelers have done far more damage to the body politic than Sarah Palin and Louie Gohmert. They’ve fulminated sedition, racism and ignorance in the name of the privileged. This release; issued on a Saturday and far short of an apology is just another papering over of the FOX taint.

A Fox apology, especially for a story they’ve made a bid deal of, is pretty extraordinary. They could have just quietly dropped the subject of “no go zones” as they’ve done with other bogus issues they’ve hyped. I wonder if Shep Smith might have had something to do with this. He frequently has failed to toe the Fox party line in the past.

What’s this? An actual “apology” apology from the Flock’s News? Not “we’re sorry if you were offended,” but an actual “we’re sorry we did that.” Dick Nixon’s teeth must be chattering like crazy!

High crime areas? You know who lives in those areas? That’s right.

I wonder if Booby “not ready for prime time” Jindal will change any of the speech he’s giving in London Monday?

In Iraq, ISIS commits genocide, enslaves women and beheads opponents.

And in the West, non-assimilationist Muslims establish enclaves and carry out as much of Sharia law as they can without regard for the laws of the democratic countries which provided them a new home.

It is startling to think that any country would allow, even unofficially, for a so called “no-go zone.”

The idea that a free country would allow for specific areas of its country to operate in an autonomous way that is not free and is in direct opposition to its laws is hard to fathom.

Need to check my sanity this week. First up, Steve King makes sense. Now Fox News apologizes for egregious propaganda?

Seriously. WTF?

Riddle me this: why is Jindal giving a speech in London about anything, much less foreign policy?

Hmmmm. Is there a presidential election next year, by any chance?

I’d say that’s a good possibility, he was probably going to cover it on his show, so they had to get out in front of him.
