#JindalFumbles
We still remember Mitt with such fondness itâs hardly surprising the Râs would want to send someone over to tell us how itâs done.
If I remember correctly, there was a lawsuit in the 90s about the label ânewsâ and being allowed to lie while using that label and Fox won.
This was pretty extraordinary for Fox ⌠not one of those âfor those who may have been offendedâ or a singular wrong statement, but an entire âno go zoneâ meme??
Wow!
âWe deeply regret the errors and apologize to any and all who may have taken offense, including the people of France and England. And in other newsâŚISLAMIST TERRORISTS ARE HIDING IN YOUR PANTRY!!! BOOGA BOOGA BOOGA!â
but, but⌠just telling the fans what they want to hear. whatâs the harm?
oh, delusional bubble, you say?
Well the personage who raked Murdoch over said coals was no less than David Cameron, Prime Minister of Great Britain. He said he choked on his pooridge when he heard what that âexpertâ said. Iâm pretty sure he called somebody at Fox and gave them an ear full.
Fox could issue a daily abject apology and it still wouldnât rectify the drivel they broadcast.
I cannot agree more!
What about Judge Evil, does she get a pass?
How about apologizing directly to Muslims since they were used to create the lie and the fear so totally unfairly.
Everyone save this one because it may be the only semi-righteous thing that Faux ever does.
1 down, a gazillion to go.
Face it. If Fox apologized for everything it got egregiously wrong during a news broadcast, they would need a simulcast apology network that would run with their news network especially in 2012 and the inauguration of President Romney. I remember my âfriendsâ who were devotees of Fox News being utterly shocked on Election Night when Romney lost. People who watch Fox News live in an alternate universe.
I find it hilarious that the fact that Fox apologized for its âerrorâ made the front page of the New York Times
I wonder if the streets were full of newsboys yelling, âWuxtry! Wuxtry! Read all about it!â
Very interesting that they would have the rare Fox presenter with dark hair issue the apology. The blondes on Fox are infallible.
Well then how about if we focus on the non-apology âapologyâ part that besides not being an apology at all and wrongly framed and totally insincere is mostly about advertising the channelâs propensity for doing this and when precisely itâs likely to happen again (âNext up âŚâ)?
Oops. Really: oops. I know youâre surprised, but, Oops. Some of you may prefer Oopsie (also, Oopsy) or the longer more classical Oopsy Daisy, but we think Oops does the job, usually we find. Oops. Oops we did it again, which is a funny play on words off the title to that song by the young woman who forgets to wear pants, Oops I did It Again. Except in our case, all of us wear pants, on the sets at least, or, as some of the more observant even obsessive among our loyal base of viewers have noted, reinforced-crotch opaque pantyhose.
But thatâs the only difference. The implication in the young womanâs song is to the effect that she is not actually being sincere or entirely candid or even fully truthful in insisting repeatedly that she simply forget to wear pants. Rather, instead, the âhookâ in the song is a cheap comeâon like showing a bit too much ankle, and that in fact she deliberately neglects to wear anything under short skirts so that when she assumes certain risque poses sheâs likely to attract media attention which she hopes to exploit to promote the commercial entertainments she stages for pre-pubescents and sexually-repressed teenagers.
That same implication applies here, on this issue about âMuslim 'No-Gone- Zonesâ in England and/or France. That is, all of us under the News Corp umbrella know perfectly well that is all made-up bull crap and lies created and delivered to increase the level of paranoia we project to our regular audience in order to induce them to continue to watch our channel and no other obsessively, right up to the very moment when theyâre physically unable to continue watching a moment longer.
So, oops. Sorry about that thing we did, whatever it was weâre already past it; I know I am, I canât even recall what this is all about. After all, we may be dedicated professional journalists, but weâre still only human so we couldnât help but make mistakes. And on that theme, since weâre still humans, expect weâll do it again: BANK on it, and next time harder then ever before, because thatâs how we roll.
Coming up right after the break âŚ
The rest of their âerrorsâ are non-regrettableâ.
"mistakes were made.ââ
'someone dropped the ball"
âsorry if we offendedâŚâ
Cliche crApologies abound.
When America lauughs at Fox they shrug it off. When the world laughs at Fox they get all apologetic.
Yes. They are. Al Queda and Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) have no greater ally than Fox.
Here we have another non apology, apology. Whenever an apology is directed to those who may have been offended it is not a real apology.
The biggest victims of Fox News are not those they offend, but those they misinform. How many âFoxophilesâ out there now believe more of this garbage? Did all those Fox propagandists who blovieated about âno go zonesâ make corrections? Did any of them use the same forum they used to spread the lie to admit to repeating the lie? I think not.
No apology given, great offense taken.
