Was he having problems finding the Menā€™s Room?

Thanks Obama!

Perhaps his conscience is getting to him and he needs to get away from the cult of FNC.

FNC jokes aside, hope he beats whatever he is battling.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that police were called to respond to a report of an intoxicated man at the Northern Lights Grill in the airportā€™s main terminal. An airport spokesman said Jarrett seemed intoxicated and was acting belligerent, according to the Associated Press.

To be fair, thatā€™s also his on-air persona.

One can only imagine the existential angst of a FOX ā€œnewsā€ speaker. All that fair and balanced mendacity 24/7 would drive anyone with two brain cells to excessive drinking. Except for Steve Doocy, who doesnā€™t have a self-reflective brain cell in his pretty little head.

Iā€™ve always wondered how these people can even function in regular society. You KNOW that every waiter in the US has to have it in for these guys. Your soup will be peed in. Your steak will be spit on, especially by the guy in the kitchen with a cold. If I had a restaurant and any of these tools came in, I would tell them there are no tables available, even if the entire place was empty. And now, I might say, ā€œThe last time one of you guys went into a bar the police had to come haul him away. Are you capable of behaving yourself?ā€

If I sold my soul to Satan by becoming a right-wing propagandist and my career amounted to being a marionette for rich old racist assholes Iā€™d probably be found drunk and belligerent in airports too. I canā€™t blame him.

Politics aside, it seems that thereā€™s something very wrong in his life right now. Whatever it is, I hope heā€™s able to deal with it successfully. Then I hope he sees the light, quits his job at Fox and does something positive and life affirming.

His defense in this case will be not, ā€˜I didnā€™t do it,ā€™" Itā€™ll be, 'I didnā€™t do it with any intent, I didnā€™t do it with the right requisite state of mind, and itā€™s selective prosecution by the government, who doesnā€™t go after anybody for this kind of crime, except coincidentally one of the presidentā€™s biggest critics".

"DONā€™T YOU KNOW WHO I AM? I AM GREGG ****ING JARRETT FROM FOX ING NEWS. NOW GIVE ME ANOTHER WHITE RUSSIAN AND SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE, FT.

I am guessing the exchange went something like that.

To be fair, that also could have been the transcript of an Alec Baldwin conversation.

Or Reese Witherspoon.

Ha!

Part of me does want to feel bad for him and hope he gets help. But Iā€™ve grown way too cynical over the years concerning right-wing holier-than-thou types who make careers out of bashing the least among us, only to have deep closets full of skeletons themselves. Limbaugh comes to mind here.

Weird ā€¦ Officers took Jarrett into custody around 12:30 p.m. ā€¦ What on earth could be the back story on why somebody would be at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport getting stupid -drunk near midnight on a Wednesday night? Not much going on there at that hour.

12:30 p.m.?! He was that wasted at lunch? And locked up until 1:30 a.m.? Thatā€™s a long time for him to sit in lockup for a drunken disorderly. Or is it 12:30 a.m. until 1:30 a.m.?

12:30 PM. Thatā€™s barely afternoon, which means he started drinking way before noonā€¦
