Discussion: Fox Analyst Says Confirmation Process Should Be Postponed For FBI Probe

Oh, shut up, tool.

He’s a WH proxy. In other words, the GOP doesn’t have the votes. They’re looking for an out. Fat Nixon’s walk-back tweets this morning tipped it off.

I do love that he’s now called ‘Fox Analyst’. About time

Well the reasons he offers sure as shit aren’t what’s motivating him. To suggest that Ford went through all that crap just because she has political reasons for wanting Kav off the court is ridiculous. If Kav is dumped Trump’s going to appoint another wingnut like him. Ford knows that. Only a clueless man could make such a disconnected statement.

Kav did everything Ford alleges and that’s why she was there.

But did people take a close look at Kav. He acted like an angry, impudent spoiled brat. He couldn’t keep his temper in check and was disrespectful to the Democratic women that questioned him. There’s some articles out there on bad SCOTUS picks and how much damage they’ve done to America particularly in the area of Civil Rights. As an example, Thomas voted to gut the Voting Rights Act. I’ll bet Kav still makes it. 50 / 50 with the Holier Than Thou Pence handing the sex offender his seat. Kav will quickly start hurting people. Why not. He’s never felt pain in his life.

Does Donald watch Dersh. these days ?

Dersh making a bid for independence? Dreading more dinner parties he might not get invited too? Perhaps, as a Jesuit high schooler, Kava’No might not be appropriately supportive of Israel?

O perhaps the display of Judicial Trumperment was too much even for the Dersh.

I don’t know if ‘they have the votes’. What I do know is that any competent, decent and responsible jurist would not want to become a member of the Supreme Court if their behaviour had been called into question and there was a way of making sure that their alleged bad behaviour could be the subject of a fair, thorough and impartial investigation (which had not been and could have been pursued).

The fact that some members of the Senate’s Judiciary Committee don’t want a thorough process and impartial investigation AND that Brett Kavanaugh hasn’t urged those who are charged with reaching a judgement on his nomination to call for such an investigation speaks for itself.

If Kavanaugh becomes a member of the Supreme Court, under a very dark cloud, he will be diminished and so will the SCOTUS itself.

It is time for Chief Justice John Roberts - whether publicly or privately [but best if it is public] - to call for due process, in defence of the institution he leads. If he has not already done so he needs to communicate with Senators and the POTUS about what is in the best interests of the US Justice system and the SCOTUS itself.

There’s an argument against that. Clarence Thomas. He didn’t care about being tarnished. He wanted on that Court and has been for 2 decades. His rulings are cruel and partisan. I’ve not seen anyone say the Court is blemished by his presence.

When you’'ve lost Dershowitz…

You still here?

Dershowitz has nothing to lose by speaking out against an appointment he’s certain will take place - and, in truth, does not object to.

That is it right there.

The other thought is a strong professional and person would be well armored against spurious claims. Dealing with accusations like this would be rebuffing static and not an occupying crisis. This man has questions about his character that are too easy to ask.

He has gone from being a respected legal mind to one who has to deal with baggage. How he has dealt with that baggage made it worse. The hearings sealed the process, revealing a contemptuous and undisciplined man. Did he assault Blasey, school is out in the strictest sense of evidence. But it showed him as more than capable with all the accoutrements of privilege and entitlement. He is right, his reputation is now destroyed. A lot of it by his own hand.

It is funny that he published the calendar to shore up his timeline. But this legal hawk, the man who would sit on the Supreme Court and deal with the most complex of tasks, failed to see what that calendar brought along. It helped frame his lifestyle and image of the time to the observer.

The American Bar Association has also called for a delay while the FBI conducts a full investigation.

After swimming in toxic waste for months on end … now he wants to quickly shower off… and step away from the stink.

Lost in the entire spectacle of the sexual assault hearing yesterday is the rest of Kavanaugh’s history of perjury, judicial views on Executive privilege, almost certain votes to repeal the pre-existing conditions part of the ACA and his almost certain vote to repeal Roe v. Wade. His disgusting show of rage and partisan hatred yesterday should have been disqualifying for him to be a judge at all let alone in the SCOTUS but the GOPers are ecstatic over this shit show. The party has pivoted completely into the dotardian world view rather than the dotard pivoting into a more presidential person. Remember when we were told to not worry about trump because the adults in congress would keep him in check? This is what blowing it all up looks like kids and we have only just begun.
