Discussion for article #236751

They’re gun shy around loads of white people, but not so around anyone who isn’t pale.

Please note the “Former Senator” in the headline, let’s keep it that way.

Gun shy? Good.
Have any LEOs died as a result? Didn’t think so.

So what’s the effin’ problem here again ex-Sen Brown?

“Al’s where the cameras are, and, shame on him,” said Brown, speaking into a camera.

the headline should read ‘Privileged White Male Concerned That Police Might Become Slower to Shoot People of Color’… worried morale is low…

Jeez, does Scotty B even have any bonafides in law enforcement? Or was this just another case of fox having whoever on to spout whatever fear mongering they need at the moment?

How about a GOP ticket of Scott Brown and Sarah Palin? Handsome, sexy, telegenic, and without a functioning cerebral cortex between them, they are perfect for the Republican base.

I hope they become gun shy here in Florida. I live to see that day. Hopefully I live to see that day. Not saying I am in danger or anything, but just walking down the street whistling for an old 62 woman is dangerous these day.

I don’t want to say that Scott Brown is a dumb shit, but, um, er, he is.

Surely, Brown will soon be providing data from the studies showing this so-called gun shying of police, or is he speaking out of his butt again? Just so he knows, his nude modeling career isn’t considered qualification for scientific study research. We need actual data for analysis, not his pandering, back seat bigoted opinion.
Brown go home and shut up!

Florida? Just whistle ‘I Wish I Was in the Land of Dixie’ and you’ll be ok.

All I need to say is, “FORMER”, a/k/a has-been!!

I wouldn’t call 137 shots at two unarmed suspects “gun shy.” I wouldn’t call jumping on the hood of their car, emptying his weapon, reloading and emptying it again “gun shy.” The soldiers who served in Iraq and Afghanistan had stricter rules of engagement.

What does the pickup truck think?

Good God, police are SUPPOSED to be gun-shy, you idiot! Citizens are not the prey in a police hunting ground. God, these type of folks are who we elect? What is WRONG with us?!?!?!?

And the cops in Cleveland who sent 137 bullets into a car with an unarmed black couple would be Exhibit A. Not to mention the cop who jumped on the hood and pumped an additional 15 rounds into the back seat after everyone else had stopped firing. That gun shy cop was acquitted by a judge last week on the interesting ground that with so many bullets being fired by the gun shy cops, it wasn’t possible to figure out whether the gun shy cop on the hood had actually killed anyone.

The Blackwater defendants (who fired indiscriminately into a crowd in Baghdad) made the same defense and were convicted.

Sure he does. He drives a leased pickup whenever he runs for office. Instant law enforcement cred.
