Discussion: Former Sen. Scott Brown: I Don't Want To Say Police Are Gun Shy — 'But They Are'

Yes that’s right holding police accountable makes them hesitant and in fear of doing their jobs. Ridiculous talking point. Of course you can’t end a segment with out race baiting Al Sharpton , he’s the new Jesse Jackson . Reagan always used Jesse Jackson

I’m sure the Duggar Klan will be more than happy to go out and stump for this ticket.

Dear Scott:
IF. F*ING. ONLY.

No worries on that count. He only stumbled into office on a special election (so definitely off year) against the worst campaigner of the 20th century, and then promptly loss not one, but two senate races. Nobody is going to fund another campaign for this lightweight.

Brown prefers cops to be trigger happy…especially since it is improbable that they would draw for his white ass…

Rolling up on a scene and firing within two seconds is not shy. Jumping on the hood of a car and firing 15 rounds into a car is not shy. We could all do with a little shyness.

“they’re afraid of being sued if they do their job”

Teatroll Rosetta Stone: “their job” = shooting minorities.

THEY SHOULD BE!!! Better gun shy than gun happy. We’ve had far too many of the latter lately.

Playgirl Scotty is only parroting the head of the Baltimore Police Union. Remember, these were the same guys that donated to the new prosecutor’s campaign. A campaign that included ending excessive force by BPD. The police are not afraid of doing their jobs, they are afraid that business as usual, ie- not following official policies are going to get them in trouble. GOOD, the rules are there to protect everyone, and just like ordinary citizens get stopped by Police for breaking the law, the police should get held accountable for breaking the rules.

BTW, the problem in Baltimore right now is BPD has decided to protest via a work slowdown.

I wonder if Playgirl Scotty has any idea of how much money Baltimore and other cities spend annually to settle law suits because of police misconduct? Hint- it’s a BIG number.

My thoughts exactly. Next up: Brown reads an Obama teleprompter joke from a teleprompter.

Let me translate into “dumb-fuckistani” audience he is speaking to: “The cops are not shooting enough NI(CLANG!)RS!”

Scott Brown is a former Playboy model who angling to work his way unto becoming Rupert Murdoch’s masseuse, He has no gag reflex. The man’s a loser.

In the wake of massive cop killings and wrongdoing, Faux puts up Senator Pretend to spread Faux information. How apropos.

Considering the fact that rednecks hate cops and authority more than the average citizen, trying to sway their base towards cop love is at best a zero sum gain.

Cops are mostly white and do carry guns, two things that are very high on the Faux/bagger agenda, but teabaggers aren’t about to submit to authority or back down from a gunfight. If the wing nuts sense that the cops are weak, they will move in for the kill. This is another phony effort that will backfire on Faux and their Fauxny audience.

Why should we listen to a half-term senator who’s proven to have little knowledge or expertise in any area of public affairs? Stop quoting this guy because he’s not relevant to anything outside of his family.

They should be gun shy. Too many of them believe their weapon is their first and only tool to use when confronting a citizen, especially a citizen of color. Somebody needs to instill in them the idea that the weapon is their last resort, and should be used only when all else has failed. HINT: If you haven’t tried “all else” then those options haven’t failed. Ask young Mr. Rice what other options they might have tried. Oh…that’s right…he’s dead…because the gun was the first and only option considered.

These people shot and killed - by the police ?

US police killed 1,100 people in 2014. By comparison German police killed nobody, and Chinese police killed 12.

I’m thinking being a little more trigger shy is a good thing.
