I totally agree. And I hate to be a party pooper here, but I think the TPM community is being a little harsh on this chick. Yep, she’s the ex flack of an extreme right wing GOP jerk. Got it. But you need to take a little wander around the block in her moccasins. She is a card carrying charter member of the GOP, and she is handing Cruz and his cronies balls to them in a hand basket. This is HUMILIATING for them. Trust me. This will bug the SHIT out of them. This is good. She does a really good job of rubbing their noses in their poo in a way only a GOP woman could. This will make them squirm, and I say, you go girl.

Funny how some people so blindly back this guy. one of my closets friends shocked the hell out of me about a week ago when he announced that he was a firm believer and supporter of donald trump. I got to say he really blew my mind.
He actually challenged me to name just one speech where trump made any kind of racist remarks ever disrespected any woman ever. I just looked at rick and said ricky my friend You know i love you bud but you just can’t be this stupid and then I just walked away.

I shared a six hour plane ride with a woman born and raised in Butte several weeks ago. She had gone to Oregon for college and never looked back. Except when she had to go back – to visit her mom and four siblings who were still in Butte. She was totally horrified by Trump specifically and the GOP in general. But she said most of her family and the people she grew up with were Trump supporters. I asked her if she knew why. She said they all felt that their “way of life” was under siege. It was going away. I said they probably are right. Things change. She says yep, and they are the kind of people who hate change. The patriarchy and the white boys and girls and the white picket fence and the white church on the hill were where they felt important and safe and that’s all they knew and all they wanted to know. But the money was getting tight, and history was moving on without them, and they just couldn’t wrap there heads around it. They wanted to go BACK to the good old days when it was a tidy white world and everything was safe and made sense.
So your (ex)friend’s emotional need for Trumps “good old days with the good old white boys” bullshit probably just totally short circuits his brain. That’s what con artists do. They figure out exactly what their audience NEEDS to hear, and they say it – again and again and again. Things change. Some people love change. Some people hate it. And then there are people like Trump, who just plain hate.
