This guy is a full blown textbook psychopath. The complete package. He lies with the ease and comfort of one totally lacking a conscience. And apparently his memory isn’t so hot either.
Take a good long look at this ass-hats smug face. He and HIS party are the folks responsible for the VA scandal.
Start wars, send more troops, cut the funding for the VA. Then send in more troops, cut more funding for the VA!!
See a pattern here?
“The U.S. invaded Iraq in March of 2003.”
I think you mean the Armed Forces very publicly invaded Iraq in 2003. Who knows what we did in 2002.
He’s just like McCain who thinks nothing that happened in Iraq prior to 2007 matters. It matters when you’re constantly criticizing and running against a man who voted against the Iraq War Resolution and it still matters.
He didn’t forget anything. This is what the Repukes are going with - ignore everything else and say Obama ruined “The Surge”.
The de facto vote to go to war with Iraq was made in fall 2002 – when, it should be noted, the Democrats still controlled the Senate. So, you know, thanks, Hillary!

Iraq Body Count. Accurate methodology. 124.5K - 138.8K Iraqi cilvilian deaths, and counting.
Ari Fleischer is an amoral dunce. But it’s really not the best of taste to accuse a Jewish guy of propagating the Dolchstosslegende.
The surge would have prevented the war in Sierrea and putting in place an unstable government? Seems to me a military conflict , successful or not, would not make a huge difference to the stability of a region long term. It is a shame, but the way it is.
The miraculous success of “The Surge” was based on the fact that we paid Sunni terrorists to quit attacking us. The payment came directly from the taxpayers of the USA. Apparently, we quit paying them, so they’re attacking again, but not us, their Shiite cousins.
He was for the withdrawl before he was against it.
Exactly. Hell of a “story” to run when they’re trying to sell subscriptions.
The only reason for the “success” of the surge in 2007 was that for four entire years, the Bush Administration refused to admit that they had sent too few men to Iraq to properly secure the country. Once they finally relented and sent the proper number of reinforcements, the situation became better. But it is the foundation of four years of chaos in Iraq that truly laid the seeds of what is happening this week.
To listen to former Bush officials (and John McCain) talk as though they were the saviors of Iraq takes an unprecedented amount of gall.
Well, when neocons have been at war with Amalekites since forever, it’s hard to keep the dates straight.
Neo Cons cannot fail. They can only be failed.
Obama ruined our victory in Iraq to distract us from Benghazi.
Yeah, sure.
Much earlier than 1991 even.
There is a 1982 Likud-inspired “Yinon Plan”, the presentation of which American neo-cons took part. This plan argued for the fragmentation of Iraq into smaller ethnic enclaves that could not challenge Israel’s regional hegemony. (Yinon also advocated fragmenting Iran, Lebanon and Syria into smaller independent ethnic enclaves for the same reason.)
Some argue that the idea of fragmenting/neutralizing surrounding countrys to insure Israel’s security is a basic tenet of Zionist realpolitik, referencing David Ben-Gurion in the 1950s, Ze’ev Jabotinsky in the 1920s, or even Theodor Herzl, originator of the modern Zionism, around 1900!
January, 10, 2001 to be exact.
“Didn’t forget, but did hit wrong key.”
There’s a technique called “proofreading.”
And wasn’t real Victory “Mission Accomplished” claimed - and associated rewards payed out - in May. 2003? When the Iraq war was actually “won” by Bush & his Dick Cheney? So then what happened between June, 2003 and December, 2008? Did Obama f*ck that up too?
Why were we even still there five+ years after Bush’s victory happened??
