Friggin moron.
Guy is an absolute hack
Well, in his defense, the actual decision to invade Iraq happened long before March 2003.
“Okay, so it was 2003. So I forgot. It’s not like it sticks in my mind or anything. I mean, Numero Uno here didn’t have to go.”
Someone ought to ask him if he knows how many troops died, how many were maimed and how many Iraqi Civilians died. (Not fair, no one bothered to keep track of that last one.)
Indeed, by September 2002, it was a forgone conclusion. He would know.
Good point.
Fleischer is a smug, arrogant, self-satisfied prick.
But enough about his good points.
his forgetfulness is understandable. the dirty work of fighting is left to ordinary people. the romneys have made non-service a family tradition.
Bad mouthing and name calling the politicians is not always a good thing, however, wanker operatives like this guy, it’s on.
The self serving sans responsibility deserve all the contempt and jail time we should pile on them, things like this one and Yoo and AG AG and Big Dick especially.
Nothing happened before 2008. Never forget that.
“Whatever, I’m not Iraqistanian.”
Well if W. was so concerned about squandering the success of the 2007 surge, why did he negotiate and sign an agreement w/ Iraq to WITHDRAW in 2012?? It was your boss, you cretin who made that deal… Pres. Obama was simply honoring it, when he w/drew the troops… Plus, Iraq did not want us there…Malaki refused our troops protection were we to stay. Obama ran on the promise to get OUT of Iraq… and he was elected. Ole’ John “Where’s my drool bucket?” McCain was NOT. Thank God.
You know if we “won” then why did we have to leave all of the troops on the ground after the “victory” of the surge? Man, these idiots just can’t keep a straight thought for more than a nanosecond.
I’m sorry, but “former press secretary’s date off by one year in tweet” is hardly headline news. I love ya, TPM, but this is sort of the equivalent of the schoolkid who points and laughs, “Ha-ha! YOU screwed up!”
I wish nothing had happened
Same old neo-con canard, the surge worked. BS! It did not.
It met none of its stated aims, just quelled the violence for as long as we were paying both sides not to fight. ISIS is too radical for the Iraqis to put up with for long. Fleischer is full of it, and McCain and Butters can go piss up a rope. Just my opinion.
