If he is PARDONED for “any and all crimes” up to the date of the pardon, he is not subject to any prosecution based upon actions taken before that date, including perjury.
All he need do is claim he was coerced into LYING during his trial and sentencing, acts that he has been pardoned for by that time. It’s why they could not bring any charges against Nixon when he went on his book tour and claimed he was innocent of Obstruction and Perjury and Conspiracy, of course, those were never adjudicated…

But yeah, totally absolutely agree with your point. And Korey Wise is a fucking hero. Who after spending from 16-30 years of age in Auburn and Wende, hard time places, donated part of his award to endowing an Innocence Project. Shaming the fucking beneficiaries of the GOP Deficit Exploding Tax Cut, which is just Version 2.0 of the Reagan “Let’s Fucking Deliberately Triple the Deficit (after campaigning on a Balanced Budget Constitutional Amendment and demanding a Line Item Veto to curtail spending) so that the next Democratic President will be hamstrung in even thinking about restoring any elements of The New Deal or The Great Society safety net that we, in our Laissez Faire Economic Darwinism, consider creeping socialism.”

if he says he was coerced publicly, he can be charged with perjuring himself in front of the judge. He can probably avoid prosecution if he subsequently swears that he was lying in public – AND promises not to say it in public again.

Yeah, actually. It is like Robert Bork telling Nixon I will fire Archibald Cox if you hire me as Solicitor General after the AG and Deputy refuse and resign. Except Bork was already hired. But yeah.
Solicitation though I think generally refers to unseemly, underhanded grubby interference in existing private attorney client relationships or jumping on poor undeducated folks with a claim. Used to be, in my lifetime, that Radio and TV advertising was deemed solicitation and therefore unethical. Now you can’t watch night time TV in NYC without at least 20 attorney solicitation advertisements with pictures of the Daily News Abner Louima verdict on the wall behind the two dudes who are father and son, I think.
Since I see that @cervantes is around, he probably knows more about the historical and recent law pertaining to attorney solicitation.

This is exactly the sort of attorney who is going to make judges really annoyed… and the Flynn judge was already really annoyed. I hope this means Flynn gets YEARS. He deserves it-- how many foreign governments was he serving?
