Discussion: Flynn Hires A Mueller-Bashing Fox News Personality As His New Lawyer

this explains a lot –

especially why judge Sullivan has been so intent on showing the public all the evidence surrounding the Flynn case. Best guess – Flynn is no longer cooperating, and Sullivan intends to throw the book at Flynn when he is sentenced.

Judge Sullivan basically told prosecutors that they would be obliged to indict Flynn for the same crime that Kian is getting tried for were it not for the plea agreement. If Flynn breaks that deal, prosecutors will be hard pressed not to charge him. I can’t see Trump or Barr going to the mat to protect Flynn after he ratted Trump out to Mueller (though I do believe he held back a few things).

Flynn has hired Sydney Powell to replace his legal team, whom announced last week…

who announced…
Sorry, I try not to nitpick, but I find this offense particularly egregious.

Didn’t tRump’s personal lawyer already obstruct justice on his behalf through witness tampering to make that a difficult proposition for tRump should he even attempt to do that? Its almost as bad as firing Comey. What does tRump have to gain by pardoning Flynn anyway. Flynn spilled the beans to Mueller and there’s no backsies on any of the information he’s already provided.

With Barr there, I wonder if the govt. will put up much of a show to get more time for Flynn. Even if Sullivan does maximize Flynn’s stay at the Graybar Hotel, Mango Mussolini has his “Get Out Of Jail” card all prepped.

And yet, Orange Caligula still speaks highly of Flynn. No “rat” he!

These guilty, grifting, lying anti-American mother fkers will smear ANYONE to get their a$$e$ out of a sling. I am sick and tired of the lot of them. I was feeling a tad bit ‘sorry’ for Flynn after his service to our country but now I want him in jail…for a VERY long time.

Consider me unconsensed. Even if Trump were to pardon Flynn, he would not do so until Dec 2020. Flynn’s sentence (if not suspended) is likely to be less than the intervening time, so what’s the point?

I’m at least willing to entertain the following explanation/theory: they’re just all fucking wacko.

I know it’s not a very satisfying theory. It doesn’t make any predictions or offer any real deep insight. But they might just all be crazypants. Any time the loony Q-shit comes up, that option needs to be on the table.

I’m sure that is mostly why he hired her, she’s great at repub propaganda. The morons were easing back on contributions and he needed more money for his defense.

Yeah he has nothing to offer Trump. Nothing whatsoever. So I don’t get that either.

I was hoping it would be that exciting new hire from Hillary Clinton’s team, Donna Brazile.

  1. Just as Pork is the New White Meat (or was decades ago), Michael Flynn is the new Martyred Oliver North.

  2. She also called Flynn “the quintessential example of why the innocent plead guilty.” A newly acquired concern of the FOX universe. Very recently acquired in the arc of history of the criminal justice system in this country in which over 90 % of cases are plead out. Usually FOX and their Dixiecrat viewers assert that people only plead guilty because they did it.

  3. Her Tweets prior to being hired by Flynn I would consider solicitation which is generally frowned upon. The criminal law equivalent of Ambulance Chasing.

It’s a shame the judge gave him a break and didn’t send him to jail the day he was originally supposed to be sentenced; the same judge who wondered aloud whether Flynn could be charged with treason and intimated a stay in the crowbar hotel was in the offing, if not imminent.

Maybe Sydney can piss off the judge and get him an even longer sentence.

Also, if Flynn does get a pardon the conviction still stands for all practical purposes as its an admission of guilt. Better yet is that it changes the dynamics of whatever testimony he is later compelled to give, i.e. pleading the 5th is out the window and he’s still open to being charged with perjury.

Poor treasonous bastard.

Maybe a more pertinent question may actually be “Will his pardon come with a Medal of Freedom as well?”

As a former military officer, you simply cannot take money from Russia, Turkey or anybody else.

But he was awarded Russia’s highest honor. They don’t just hand that out to anybody.

TBH, Flynn cooperating, then going to jail anyway after enraging the judge, and then getting Trump in trouble for pardoning, seems like the best possible scenario here.

I think he’ll regret that decision, but we’ll see.

This is only an important consideration to a rational actor, and I have seen little evidence that Flynn has acted especially rationally since Obama gave him the boot. I think Flynn and Crazyeyes, Esq. are pretty clearly angling for a pardon, even if angling for a pardon makes no sense strategically and Trump would have no reason to corruptly offer one.

Why? Because ¯\ _ (ツ)_/¯
