Could it be possible that the huge public outcry about the border, (Bravo for everyone who raised a ruckus on this issue), put a crack in the kingdom of donald? Could it be possible that if enough people let their disgust be known to the point that it is the top story on cable TV - Noit obnly does donald have to back down but also people like Flake feel emboldened? Is it possible the winds are shifting?
Hopefully he will follow through and a lot of others realize that - no Canada, EU and Mexico are not a security threat.
This stuff is just basic common sense. Maybe the display of how tangled up in their lies the administration got in the last month/week ā is a wake up for theserepresentatives and senators.
I just read elsewhere that as a member of the Judiciary Committee, he has the power to vote with the Democrats and block the nominations. So heās not just wishing for this to happen; he could make it happen and everyone in that town knows it. So gaming it out, heās probably going to do one of three things: 1) wimp out. Why he would do that again I have no idea. Just more sniping from the sidelines. Or he might 2) be mounting a little rebellion of his own and hopes others will rally to his flag. Those tariffs are not super-popular with the powers that be, the base be damned, and Flake has nothing to lose in the short run. If Trump tweets at him it spares everyone else. It wouldnāt hurt his fundraising prospects on future runs for office, once the Trump phenomenon collapses in disgrace. Or 3) heās doing this with McConnellās tacit approval. For the reasons, see #2. I think it would make sense to keep an eye on this. Trump is weak, weak, weak right now, and the Senators (you remember your Roman history, right?) may be going in for the kill.

I donāt think McConnell would give any approval to this tacit or not. He wants those right wingers in those lifetime judicial appointments big time. Donāt forget, he wants to keep congress in session in August to ram through a lot more of them as well as keeping candidates out of the their districts to campaign. (Which is kind of stupid since he would be keeping Rs from campaigning too but I guess ramming those judicial nominations through is worth it to him.)
These lines in particular could apply to anything that exits PPās tiny little mouth. He pretends he knows what heās talking about, some people pretend to listen, but we all move on. BTW what do we know about where heās playing golf today. It would be his 118th day playing golf in the 424 days heās been occupying the WH.
We cannot allow all of these people to invade our Country. When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came. Our system is a mockery to good immigration policy and Law and Order. Most children come without parentsā¦
