Discussion: Flake Continues Beef With Trump: Proposed Border Wall 'A Bit...Out There'

This notion of a 2,000-mile wall has always been just — for anybody who spends time on the border — just a bit, you know, out there,”

well Yah…

But it plays well to his ignoranus base and the paid shills at his rallies who are all just a bit, you know, out there.

I want to win that Senate seat, but I also think there’s value for the country in Flake fighting back against this idiocy. I wish he had voted no on Trumpcare. That bad vote makes him suspect.

My, such strong words and language, Jeff. Perhaps I should go cover the ears of the neighborhood children.

In spite of myself, I am beginning to like this guy a bit. Like @khyber900 I am bothered by the healthcare “no” but I really like that someone on the “inside” is pushing back so hard. It’s much more effective coming from a Gooper than a Dem.

His voting record is a disaster (taken from fivethirtyeight.com)

This suggests Flake has put his finger up to the political wind in Arizona and found that he’s on safe ground with likely Republican primary voters with criticism of Trump.

Does this mean Senator Flake will oppose appropriating any funds to pay for Trump’s stupid wall? His statement doesn’t prevent such an outcome. Flake needs to be asked this.

Words are cheap and actions count. Flake votes with Don the Con over 90% of the time. Until he starts showing real spine, Flake is just another blowhard.

Yeah, no surprise with Sen. Sasse. He’s all talk about opposing Trump. He’s another phony GOP Trump rubberstamp.

So you thought it was right to vote to take healthcare away from millions of people?

Thing is there’s no measure that could conclude that a 30 billion dollar investment that impacts 1/7 of the US population makes sound economic sense. It’s the entire belief-alternative facts reality we find our selves in with this idiotic admin…

Trump very publicly threatened a government shutdown if it lacked wall funding. Democrats need to blanket the airwaves with ads when the budget fight gets nasty:

“President Trump promised our nation that Mexico would pay for his proposed border wall (insert footage of him saying this about 6 times on the campaign trail, to huge applause). Now he wants Congress to make you, the taxpayer, fund the wall! Nice deal making, Mr. President, too bad you weren’t be negotiating for us! Failed policies, failed promises, failed Presidency. Vote Democrat!”

Thank you! When he said:

“My position is I work with the President, vote with the President when I think he’s right, and I oppose him when I think he’s wrong,” Flake added separately.

I about spit out my coffee. That fucker wants to brand himself as being principled, but at base hs´s another partisan R hack.

¨Hey, it looks like Texas is wearing one of my hats!¨

I think Flake’s
response is quite clever. He just called Trump an ignorant extremist, and painted his own actions in the most reasonable tones possible.

"What’s this, storms? Now storms are my job? What do you guys do? Mueller’s half way up my ass, Melania won’t let me near hers, my little prick son-in-law dealing with the Jews all the time, son’s are at the lawyer’s every fucking day, daughter’s looking a little rough, getting old, and my other son, what’s his name, won’t talk to me. JC, ordered fast food an hour ago! Where’s my Bell Grande!

And now you bozos tell me I gotta know about some big storm. Yeah yeah, it does look beautiful on the monitor. You guys handle it … so what’s with all the red?

I’ve bookmarked this website. I know it’ll come in handy when Rs pretend to show they have a spine on the road to challenging 45.
