The creep in that video committed his vile crime just a few blocks from my home. Police alerted everyone in the neighborhood to stay indoors. My grandsonâs elementary school (and all the others in the area) were on lockdown with children being sheltered inside with their teachers. The school principal was updating parents by text message, the local news was trying to track where this had gone to perpetrate more murder of cops, and it was a frightening, sickening day here in the sunny suburbs. That POS continued to smirk and thumb his nose at all of us on local news programs during his court hearings.
And yet, not one single person I know thinks of him as anything other than a psychopath. Not someone who came to our country from somewhere else. Not someone who re-entered after having been deported. Not an âillegal alienâ. A common fucking murderer, just like the guy who did a similar thing on another day and was born right here. We see them on the news every day, too.
The idea that anyone would try to say my vote for democrats reflects something about allowing brown people to live among us puts us at risk is putrid. But Jeff Flake is still a flake.
Who cares what one of Donald Trumpâs most reliable Senate voters thinks- the man is the worst of the worst.

I cannot wait for the days when the media moves on from the need to report the things he says as if they were newsworthy or having any value other than securing his post senate employment.
Flake, Flake, You so want to be the good man. But here is the thing. There comes a moment in life where you have to stand and do the right thing. It takes courage and risk and it can be scary and comes with consequence. Sometimes you can even do it with a dramatic flair of a thumbs down as someone recently demonstrated. It wasnât much, Perhaps it wasnât even enough, but it won him a place in the history books and wiped out a multitude of sins, of which there were many. You could have done it too. You saw your chance in that uncomfortable moment in the elevator when you remembered you had a soul and that there were women you loved and represented that were counting on you and history would judge you and maybe a mother that had taught you right and wrong. You almost did it, but in the end you and those others you gathered around you decided the price was just too high and right could be sacrificed to power. Now you have no power and no way to change anything. You surrendered it all and that tweet is yours as is every life destroyed by the man you propped up and kept in power with your cowardice. So ride it down to hell with him because he owns you now, or get in the fight for real by getting some actual power again and turning it against him, but this is just the wailing of the damned who not willing to forsake their wickedness bemoan the misery it brings them.
