I don’t dare hopes he pulls a John McCain tribute at the final vote, waiting to be the last Senator to vote, confirmation hanging in the balance, and then giving a thumbs down, but it would sure be nice.

As a point of information, if the vote is 50-50, does Pence get a tiebreaking vote, or is that ability reserved for legislation votes?

However, if Flake’s serious, then he just told McConnell that he’s a ‘no’ on the floor vote until this investigation’s been done. It won’t take the FBI a week to look into this if they get the green light.
