Itâs a shame they never installed the dashboard cameras that citizens bought for them a couple years ago. A real shame.
Can we get a FOIA request for these tapes? Hate to see some of them answering the call of nature when they forget to turn them offâŚ
A day late; a dashcam short
That would provide the photographic evidence of what we have assumed all along - that they are having to compensate.
âForgotâ nothing. Those pics are all on purpose.
Jackson added that the cameras picked up scenes of civilians taunting police at Saturdayâs protest.
Iâd hope out of all the things you would have to deal with as a police officer, taunting would be the least of your worries. This sounds so much like a child saying" See! Theyâre being mean to me too!"
Do the cameras work all the time or only when the cops want other folks to see what they are doing?
Probably a question that needs to be asked before footage âdisappearsâ after the next cop/protester/innocent black kid incident.
As we saw all the âcoolâ military crap the Ferguson and County police got to use against people. There is no record of training on how and when to use it.
So why would they install anything that may incriminate them (The GD Police) without âtrainingâ on how to use it?
So is all the video from each shift a public record, or do they get to release only the things they want to?
But still no word on those cruiser cameras still waiting to be installed.
Maybe Iâm naive, but I suspect that overall the presence of these cameras will modulate the behavior of both the police and protesters.
Why, donât the police want to be recorded shouting âI will fucking kill you!â at protesters? I thought they were proud of that behavior.
âOops, I forgot to charge mine. What a coincidence someone filed a report on that day. Ah well, who are we gonna believe? A cop or some dead guy?â
Taunting is an executable offense.
Makes cop softball games pretty boring.
Some comedic relief would be appreciatedâŚ
Their GoPros automatically shut down when the N-word is used.
The video should stream to public libraries.
The next time a Ferguson cop shoots someone, I donât want the Ferguson PD to control the only copy of the video.
